Sidenote: for the 10 years between the 9/11 attacks and his death in Pakistan, bin Laden was listed on the FBIâs âmost wantedâ list - but NOT for the 9/11 attacks. He was listed as âwantedâ for the attacks the two embassies in Africa, but not for the WTC/Pentagon attacks. I always found that really strange, and frankly still do.

Speaking objectively, it makes far more sense to have an experienced President make the nomination. He/she will undoubtedly already have a short list in place, and people in place to move the nomination forward. A new Presdient has MUCH to learn, and untold situations will require his/her attention. Many appointments need to be made early on and all those people are still getting their feet wet.
The GOP arguments is absurd. Especially with so much time left in Obamas second term (for which he was actually, um, ELECTED!)

Rubio seemed to forget about the Bush Administrationâs dropping the ball on bin Laden and al Qaeda in Afghanistan so they could return to bringing in more revenues for Halliburton in Iraq. Interesting how selective his memory becomes ⊠and thereâs that little thing about the daily briefing warnings of high-jacked planes about to be used as weapons. Yep
