It is unclear by that answer whether Rubio now opposes increases to legal immigration, such an expansion of the H1B visa program that is often used to bring in high-skilled workers like doctors and engineers.
But it is clear that if you bring in artesian waterā¦ youāll be OK ! ā
Rubio has clearly learned the lessons of the Mariel boatlift when Castro emptied the jails and sent prisoners to Florida thus precipitating the end of special treatment of Cubans in American immigration policy. Wait, what?
Rubio was laying it on pretty thick most of the night. And pretty much making it up as he went along.
Which brings up a couple of my big takeaways from the evening. Every single one of them is tacking EXTREMELY hard to the right tonight. It was a fact free spin zone, and they all went as far to the right on every discussion as possible. Which may play well for the GOP primaries, but its digging far too deep of a hole for any of them to climb back out for a general.
The other big, general observation I had is that there really is no consensus candidate emerging. Everyone of them receives boos at some point or other during the night. Yes, thatās rightā¦I am not even measuring who is receiving the biggest applauseā¦its how often each of them got booed. And every single one of them was booed at some point or other.
Trump,Cruz, Rubio and Bush all have the money to go well into late spring. And I suspect they will, bloodying each other the entire timeā¦and dragging themselves further and further to the right in the process.
By the time the convention rolls around, people will be looking back at last November fondly as moderate positions.

Some are pretending to be a U.S. Senator in order to collect a paycheck while running for President of the United States, whereby if successful, they can inflict egregious economic and political strife upon U.S. citizens in the name of their God. I believe that meets the definition.

Holy shit, people - of course the only solution is to deny entry to ALL doctors, engineers and fiancees! Then, of course, round up ALL (especially those pesky fiancees) in Merika and deport them! Regardless of race, religion, or any other criteria - we would, btw, also be rid of some teabaggers, too.
