“It’s absurd,” Rubio fumed about the Democratic response. “It’s outrageous.”

“Rick Snyder is a Democrat?”

When one party decides to save money on the backs of poor people with few resources, it is evil. Period. Politicize that.

It was Republican POLITICIANS who took over Flint and hired incompetents who “poisoned” the water. So, yes, it is a political issue.

Republicans only like the EPA when they themselves or their children are directly affected by pollution, poison, dirty air, contaminated water…

“I don’t think someone woke up one morning and said
let’s figure out how to poison the water system to hurt someone,” Rubio said

Flint proves the idea of “running government like a business” is a disaster. It totally refutes their worldview. Snyder ran as the CEO who was going to use business principles to “run”, not govern, Michigan. He showed that the business model is more concerned about $$ than people.

Of course they don’t want to talk about it.

Trump literally called for disbanding the EPA entirely, and doing away with all environmental regulations (as did Cruz) tonight. In front of a Michigan crowd.

Snyder is going down hard for Flint…but more importantly, I believe its going to be a great big weight hung around the GOP at large, particularly their nominee. And it won’t be pretty.

In fact, I will even go out on a limb and say I expect that Clinton and Sander are much less combative in their debate, and pretty much make it a showcase for the bigger problems Flint…and republican policies…represent.

Note that the GOP outrage is not that the drinking water for an entire city was poisoned, it’s that people found out about it and tried to stop it.

Well out of the gate Wallace did the most despicable thing by saying “let’s not try and lay blame on the water crisis, instead…”

Sorry, but the cause is central to the political differences between the entire GOP and Democrats. They want to privatize, cut costs, and deregulate. That leads to poisoned water.

Democrats want to make government work, delver services and make sure water is safe to drink.

How it came about (aka “blame”) is the central to the issue.

And Ruboto did nothing but attack a strawman that Democrats are somehow accusing Snyder and crew wanting to poison people. That is not the issue. The issue is that cutting taxes, cutting services to pinch a penny, deregulating and not caring about the consciences of such action leads to poisoned water.

That exchange was a disgrace.

But then again it is Fox/GOP propaganda event. What else could we honestly expect?

Rubio: What I am saying is that the citizens of Flint should use 2nd Amendment instead of letting Democrats make it an election issue.
