IMO Moore will accept a bribe in the end to step down. They’re just going to haggle about the price.
Correct Twitter response: Will do.
What? Is Moore going to try to fuck Mitch, too?
I don’t think so. He wants to lose, and be a martyr. And then call down fire and brimstone on every elected GOP official in the state (and nationally) that refused to support him. Its how assholes like him roll, they dream of scenarios like this.

and that price is, when is the best time for Mitch to retire.

*BringItOn Roy - but you`ll need to leave the closet .
That’s what makes a horse race–
or a market.
Reading the various reporting, Moore seems to like winning more than governing. I imagine he’d be like Jackson when he became a Senator, and look to quit.
I’m torn between wanting him to win for the pain and bright light it would bring to the GOP, and wanting Doug Jones, clearly a great candidate, to get his chance in the senate.
You just know that from this point forward Ol’ Roy is going to be Cosbyficated®™
with every young girl that he did grab ass with coming forward.
Hallo Orville Reddinbacker
“Bring It On” - a series of movies about high school cheerleaders. Is Moore challenging McConnell…or just reminiscing about his dating/molesting days?
REALLY DUDE! Bring It ON? Outing yourself using a movie about high school cheerleaders is not a good move.
Bring It On (2000)
A champion high school cheerleading squad discovers its previous captain stole all their best routines from an inner-city school and must scramble to compete at this year’s championships
.
As far as the Ala GOP is concerned , there is no horse race to address. McConnell hasn’t been popular for quite awhile and its really showing now.
I admit you’re the Southerner. But I lived in Florida for years.
OT-If the house tax bill leaves out the OCare repeal-and-dont replace, and the Senate bill includes it, can they just include it arbitrarily in the final version worked out in conference? After the conference bill is finalized, how many more votes are required? TIA.
I guess I misspoke, I wasn’t referring to Mitch’s popularity. I don’t think Mitch and more importantly the rest of the party guys are going to tolerate loss of the seat if they think it’s avoidable. There’s enough money to avoid it.
Its not arbitrary. The conference will choose to either leave it in or take it out. After which the conference bill has to be voted on by both the House and the Senate.
That depends upon whether or not the conference bill can pass the Byrd bath. Assuming it can (which is one of the main goals), it would need 51 votes in the Senate. (or 50 + VP)
Bring it on, Mitch. I’ll fight you anywhere. Except the mall.
agreed, but they are gonna have to see how this story ends.

Like ‘45’, Moore isn’t seen as a sellout among his followers and seeing how they acted when Strange got whipped, nope, money won’t be solving this problem.
They won’t like the possibility. And that McConnell is even considering and discussing such extreme measures to avoid it, really is about the best indicator we have seen of just how badly they think the 2018 midterms are going to be. He is risking setting off a powder keg that will blow up on the right AND the left.
In any normal situation, McConnell shouldn’t be concerned about losing the Senate, he should be focusing on how many seats they will be adding. But he isn’t. He is deeply concerned that they are going to lose this seat and two others (most probably NV and AZ) and he goes back to being Minority Leader.
