Our Dad said âwellâ a lot more!
When those two agree on something it is a sign of the Apocalypse.
âRonald Reagan would never take 11 million people or three million people or a million people and throw them out of the United States of America.â
There goes the GOP baseâs support for the GipperâŚ.
OTOH, thereâs no evidence that Trump sold arms to Iran.
not a big reagan fan. his trickle down theory was horribly wrong. but it was a mistake, he did not do it to hurt people. he was basically a decent human being. trump can not claim the same.
Iâm sure if President Reagan were present at the debate tonight, he wouldnât recognize himself for the way heâs been re-engineered by his own party. Sad for him and for his legacy, whether I agree with it or not. I also am sad for his boys (now men, of course), who have to watch as their dadâs character is adjusted to fit the needs of some very sociopathic people.
Reagan was as bad as any GOP candidate running today, including Trump. He willfully help bankrupt the country because he didnât like taxes. Howâs that for hate?
I see Ron on Hardball a lot and he comes as across as very sharp, very insightful and correct on the issues. Not like his old man. Iâve seen Michael on various things and he comes across as a fucking moron, and, unlike his dad, a nasty piece of work.
And yet they are in agreement that Trump is nothing like their dad, even though Donald would like to think he was loved and admired by the Gipper.
Actually, thatâs not true.
It worked exactly as it was designed to work-----it redistributed all the money upwards to the top 0.01%, exactly where Laffer, Reagan , and the rest of the voodoo economics team wanted it to go.
They lied to the public about what supply-side would doâknowing all the while that theyâd get away with their monumental grift.
Thatâs okay! The Ronald Reagan people ârememberâ today is nothing like Ronald Reagan when he was alive.
Sorry. Donât agree. Reagan was a Keynesian. He ran big deficits, which brought the country out of the Carter (Arab oil boycott) recession. Itâs true that the deficits he ran were basically for a big military buildup, but those guns were made in the US and employed millions of Americans. In fact, while he did more Keynesian pump priming than Carter, he didnât do enough, as unemployment rates never got as low as they are now. And with regard to taxes, the Reagan- Bill Bradley tax deal was the last tax reform we have had. It closed a lot of loopholes and reduced tax rates generally. There are a lot of things to criticize Reagan for, but not for this.
You have to love Michael Reagan, a man who can talk about murdering babies by rectal grenade in gleeful tones.
I dunno. Its like saying that fuckhole is nothing at all like my fuckhole. Weâre still talking about a a couple of fuckholes.
Or that Raygun remembers when he was alive, for that matter.
the real point of my comment was that reagan was not a bad person and that trump is a bad person.
trickle down is now the gop default tax mantra. it is wrong-headed.
I would HOPE that Donald Trump wasnât guilty of at least two counts of Treason. So, yes, Trump is probably nothing like your dad.
thatâs because âwellâ and âmommyâ were the only words he could remember without a written scriptâŚ
