Well, giving away a gun pulled Ron Paul out of obscurity for a day; the press fell for it and gave him lots of free publicity. I can’t think of anything else he could have given away that would have worked so well in that respect.
And maybe he’ll get a bit more publicity if the winner is a felon, or crazy, or when the gun gets used in a crime. This is a gun designed to kill people.
