Discussion: Ron Johnson Backs Tax Bill After 'Given Assurance' He 'Will Be At The Table'

Oh wow! I had such high hopes that Mr. IQ (RoJo) would hold out because he saw the bill as unjust. My heart is broken.

Oh yeah, he and his family business will be at the table! No diving under the table for scraps, he’s going to get his slice of the pie direct from the source. Wisconsin voters must be thrilled with their handiwork.

Ron Johnson is proof positive that stupid goofballs can achieve some measure of wealth. The notion that people of wealth naturally have some measure of smarts and wisdom remains false.

He always makes noise and then folds. The guy is a phony.

table is the wrong word “trough” is what I think you meant

Not my handiwork: “If your Johnson stays firm for more than four hours, call a doctor.”

As suspected, the so-called “conservatives” who were acting like they weren’t sure whether they would vote for this bill because of deficit concerns, were just posturing – angling for “a seat at the table.”

But I’m a little confused by one aspect of this article. It mentions that the Senate parliamentarian ruled against the “triggers” idea – where revenue shortfalls would trigger automatic tax increases – but later in the article they’re still talking about a trigger.

So – was that trigger talk before the parliamentarian’s ruling, or are they contemplating overruling the parliamentarian, or are they looking at a different kind of "“trigger” that would pass muster with the parliamentarian…or am I missing something?

How much you want to bet after it passes, that when he gets static for his vote at a Town Hall, he says something like “That’s old news. Let’s move on.”

just because my dogs are at the table begging doesn’t mean I feed them from it…
