Discussion: Ron Fournier Is President Of A 'Bipartisan' PR Firm, But His Clients Are Republicans

Yeah, “left of the Republican Party” is not “left of center”. If you’re including people like Schultz, Fournier, and of course Manchin, Democrats go well to the right of center.

Shouldn’t HS be running in the GOP primaries? Is he really that confused?

Bipartisan in 2019 = shyster/idiot/Republican

Forgive me, but didn’t Ron Fournier spends most of the 2000s fluffing Karl Rove?
I appreciate a good joke as much as most, but shouldn’t this be labelled as ‘satire’?

Ron Fournier, the infected boil on the ass of American journalism. Another person hiding behind that phony “moderate” label.

I cannot wait until Charles Pierce at Esquire starts writing about Schultz. Although the way his campaign is flaming out, Pierce may not have time to write about him before the implosion. Oh, and did you read about Daddy Starbucks (I read that name somewhere, and ya gotta love it!) pulling his Tweets agreeing with some RW asshole who called Liz Warren “fauxcahantas”?

Oh, and to try to keep on topic, Ron Fournier really is a dick, isn’t he?

I guess there is “contrarian” welfare, much like wingnut welfare except they’re really just same thing.

With respect to ratfucking, we should also expect that to come from the right and some that are purportedly on the “left”. The Greens frame themselves as on the left but we know they’re a Republican asset. Jill Stein is but one example.

Nope. The Republicans sure were happy when Perot re-entered the presidential race in the fall, 1992.

Daddy Starbucks, very nice. I haven’t gone to a store since he announced, go to Peet’s instead, the store which was the inspiration for Stars. I know someone very well whose nickname is Dick (wink, wink), and I’m glad to say he’s not a dick.

‘BIPARTISAN’ - “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”

There is a very clear media campaign going on by the right and the 1% to shut down any talk of the liberal Dems ideas. They are using everything from a 3rd candidate spoiler to disingenuous actors claiming to be the ‘new bipartisan center’ that seem to hold nothing but right-wing economic views.

When I scream about how the Dems are ‘bad at the media’ this is what I mean. The right will manipulate the conversation any way they can and damn it the Left needs to come out swinging this time. Not siting passively by allowing the Overton window to shit right in the presses eye.

Edit: I also expect we’ll be seeing the paid trolls soon like we did with the maga-teens, coming out and plaster right-wing economic policy as ‘centrist’.

If Ron Fournier is “left of center”, then I’m a kangaroo.

That MTP Daily segment the other day was painful - a bunch of center to right hand-wringers talking about how “we can’t raise taxes on Americans”, which is the same crap they have been peddling for decades, even as the tax rates on the rich have been cut again, and again.

God is looking demon-ish these days.

Maybe this is a step too far for reasonable people who may be lingering in churches. Maybe this hideous b*tch and her cultish proclamations will encourage more people to walk away from the fundamentalist pews. And that can only help democracy in these dark, “god-forsaken” days.

Just trying to find some itty bitty shot of sunshine in all the fundy B.S.

Disclaimer: I’m an atheist. Walked away decades ago and never looked back except to breath a sigh of relief.

The headline said, “You Need to Read This.” Headline was wrong, and now I know to be suspicious of such headlines on TPM. Maybe I ought to know who Ron Fournier is, but I watch MSNBC a lot and I don’t remember him.

It’s high time for Chuck Todd to go.

An hour ago, listening in the car to Katie/Hallie/Kasie (I couldn’t tell which) it appears that the MSNBC gang is being “encouraged” to take a certain position on certain issues. Example: what’s wrong with Nancy Pelosi that she won’t meet Trump halfway on his (demented) wall demand? In several cases the last week or so, they have argued for compromise between the sane, adult position and the crazed fantasy-based position. (In the back of my time machine, I hear echoes of, “Just give the guy the Sudetenland, goddamit, and we can all sleep nights Neville.” in the rants of Katie/Hallie/Kasie). Am I the only one picking up on this kind of “encouragement.”?

Let’s hope that Schmidt’s political acumen lands Schultz with a V.P. worthy of Sarah Palin. How’d that turn out?

“Bipartisan reflects the make-up of the staff, not the make-up of the clients.”

Sure, Ron. And everyone is a ‘‘democrat’’ who says he is, even if he spouts only GOP talking points. It’s not like Zell Miller ever existed…
