Religion is a curse.

It separates Us from Them.

Jeffress has made some vivid remarks about Roman Catholicism, too, but we all know Jews and Catholics aren’t really the target market here. This is meant to validate the loony eschatology based in Revelation and help Trump with the fundies. There’s not any other earthly reason to do it. So having a guy like Jeffress preside over it is no bonehead accident. It’s purposeful boneheadery.

It’s Israel. They couldn’t find a rabbi?

More evidence to the fact that the religious right’s support of Israel is conveniently based on end-times prophecy and they consider Jews a means to an end.

There really isn’t any debate Jeffress actively preaches everything Romney says he does. He also has harsh words about Catholics. His is a very narrow view of the world and an extraordinarily childish interpretation of the Gospel If only the dinosaurs had made it to the Ark.

Historic Christianity has taught for 2,000 years that salvation is through faith in Christ alone.

That’s true. But for 2,000 years, they’ve been mistaken.

All the end times crap you see on Fox News and hear from people like Jeffress and all the efforts to lure God into destroying Jerusalem is trumped by Mark 13-32 the scripture the con artists conveniently forget. “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” The last I heard God the Father wasn’t talking. To build a foreign policy on endtimes lunacy is to invite a giant disaster.

I was raised Baptist. Hypocrisy and self righteousness are their bread and butter. A pox on them.

Fuck you and fuck your Christ, Jefress.

Is Netanyahu going to be at the ceremony, smiling away as this bigot and antisemite gives the prayer? That thought gives me some pleasure.

What kind of idiot chooses a man who thinks Jews, Muslims, Catholics, Mormons and others whose faiths revere Jerusalem as a holy city to say a prayer at the opening of the US embassy there?

Oh, but, Mitt, is any bigot truly religious, or only mouthing the words?

(And, yes, moving the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem was monumentally stupid.)

Well, that’s true enough, but the only way to stop it is not to have a prayer.

Is it possible that Preshitident Skanky-Manslut is jesus himself and He has come again? Many people are saying he is jesus returned and many people are saying that he is not jesus. How would we know. Now that Romney is back again he could make the claim to be the The White Horse of Prophecy.

Religion poisons everything.

What a great prayer “We moved the Embassy here because that’s the prophecy in the Bible. Please all drop dead NOW so WE can be Raptured up”.

2018 and we have to think about things like this? That is what is so damn offensive about this period of time. I don’t have a horse in the race, but people continually want me to make an opinion. If I do not have an opinion, it is just as bad as not. Religion and Sports, bah.

Thanks but tell the spell-checker, it’s always giving me a hard time about stuff like that.

Dallas minister Robert Jeffress for his remarks about Jews, Mormons and Islam.

Shorter Romney: Mormons are far far superior to any other religion and can never ever be criticized.
