Discussion for article #223941

Someone explain to me how losing an election gives you foreign policy expertise.

If there’s one thing Mitt Romney knows about, it’s underestimating opponents.

Wow, I thought it would another week or two before Mitt was on Meet the Press. Guess MTP could not wait to invite another losing GOP presidential candidate to appear. They love to prop them up. After 2000 and 2004, MTP never had Gore or Kerry on anywhere near as much as they invite McCain or Romney.

“The United States of America has long had the capacity to shape events and to influence events. But what you’ve seen from this administration, whether from Hillary Clinton, with the reset button to Russia — which, by the way, should have been called the repeat button — this administration from Secretary Clinton to President Obama has repeatedly underestimated the threats that are faced by America, has repeatedly underestimated our adversaries.”

TRANSLATION: “Why the heck wouldn’t they just BOMB SOMEONE? It worked in IRAQ, it worked in AFGHANISTAN! If they had just BOMBED BENGHAZI, we wouldn’t be having this discussion – because I’D be the President, and I wouldn’t have to go on any show I didn’t want to!”

Three generations of Romneys. Half a dozen wars. Number of Romneys who have served=zero. Nobody could ever accuse Romney of underestimating the threat.

I can think of one horrible, awful bad thing Obama prevented from happening.

It does in David Gregory’s book. As a loser, he is attracted to them. If you doubt it, just look at his typical line-ups for Sundays.

Well, in his defense, he got a deferment in order to be a missionary in France. Quite a noble cause, non? Sacre Bleu!

Oh, those tax returns have been amended to give him the 5% rate he would have gotten except that he had to share them. Remember, he never showed the old ones!

I want to be first one to remind RMoney of the president’s bitch slap:

“Well, governor, we also have fewer horses and bayonets.”

Romney has always had foreign policy expertise-- even before getting his a^^ handed to him electorally.

Recall how he expertly pissed off the British and the Israelis simply by answering the most banal of questions from the local press in each country?

These Republicans are always unbelievable bad-asses as long as it’s someone else’s kids who get to fight and die for the cause.

Hey Mitt, why don’t you lead by example and get one of your five sons to enlist in the military? By the way, I’d like to thank you for your own Vietnam service, where you were successful in keeping the Viet Cong out of France. Well done.

Thanks for your advice, but losers don’t get to decide anything.

He had fun writing love letters to Anntoinette in the sand in France while someone else else lay dying in a buddy’s arms.

I am thinking this fellow is still running for president.I am betting his name will head the Republican ticket in 2016. Look at Nixon. He kept on running until he was elected.
