Discussion: RNC Spox Likens His Role To That Of Doctors, Lawyers Assisting ‘Bad’ People

Demented - purely demented - Doctors will legitimately provide medical car to patient in need of life / health sustaining care - but doctors will not server as enablers for drug addicts & write prescriptions for narcotics - just because the drug addict asks for it.
Sean Spicer knows full well that he has drawn a monumental false equivalency - but Spicer may have a mortgage to pay … so he rationalizes … and tries to make himself seem noble …

Lawyers and doctors take an oath.
What’s the RNC oath: I pledge allegiance to Hedley Lamar and to the evil for which he stands"?

Isn’t that exactly what Monica said to Bill, with one fewer word?

Yeah, but mob doctors and defense lawyers went to school for years, so their souls carry a high price tag. What makes you worth it, Spicer?

You do understand, I hope, Sean, that you’re going straight to hell when you die. If there is not currently an actual hell, one will be created for you.

Except there isn’t a right to have a spin doctor cover one’s ass equivalent to the right to a fair trial nor do spin doctors take an oath to sling bullshit for anyone equivalent to an actual Doctor’s oath to “Do no harm” so the argument doesn’t really hold water. Unlike the aforementioned professions he has no ethical obligation to shill for Trump, that is a choice he makes because he’s a partisan hack, a paid shill, or both who is willing to do grievous harm to this country and deserves to be scorned as such.

Tom Brady is forced to miss the first month of the NFL season, so all is not lost.

Lawyers and doctors are ethically obligated to do those things. I’m aware that I just used a foreign word: “ethical”

No Spicer…you are an apologist by profession if you are a spokesperson for the GOP. You aren’t acting like a lawyer who is a defense council at a trial. And doctors I know do not defend bad people. They may treat them but they don’t defend them. No sir, you are an apologist for very bad people. If I were you I’d be looking for another line of work. One with long term prospects along with a bit of personal honor. Honor is in short supply in politics anyway.

Bull fucking shit.

He is supporting someone for a job, when he damn well knows that person is not qualified, and the damage it will cause everyone (including him) if that person gets that job.

This is NOT about curtailing an individual’s fundamental right to life, or freedom. There is a reason lawyers and doctors are ethically bound to do what they have to do. Because the individuals they are representing may be deprived of fundamental human rights, which is why we have elaborate systems constructed to prevent unjust or unfair treatment. The doctor or lawyer’s role is fundamental in maintaining the sanctity of that system.

Everyone choosing to not support Donald Trump does not hurt the sanctity of the electoral system. It only strengthens it. And it deprives Donald Trump of nothing, other than the ability to be a blowhard at a more prominent stage, and cause pain and misery for massive numbers of people.

Is “GOP communications director” a profession now? You need a license to be the lowest form of fucking shill? (Begging your pardon, Mrs. Von Holst.)

No, the charge against you is that you are an amoral unethical piece of scum, who should be exiled from civilized society.

As an atheist, I hope that I am wrong and there is a God, or at least a hell, so you can roast in a fire pit for eternity.
