truth optional in trump world. say what you like. we’ll have a redo if it goes all to shit. no prob.
What’s that scurrying noise being heard all over Washington DC?

Well …yikes
Frankly, anyone who ever supported Trump is stained by association. “…and I shoot straight at my foot”. There, FIFY.
Several times today I’ve wondered when we’re going to start hearing about how the money laundering has been done. Josh himself is chipping away at that. I’m sure the IC has been working on it. Foreign intelligence services too. And the media. I’d bet all my ready cash Farenthold is frying bigger fish right now than whether Trump donated to charities.
…"she likes “what he wants to do to strengthen this country,”…
Yeah, just wait until that hits Tejas harder, dummy.
Was thinking that myself. Seems like there’s a growing overhead shadow of a descending shoe.
A Russian money-laundering bank in Cyprus, whose recent vice chairman is now running our Commerce Dept? WTF? It’s starting to really look like Trump was made (saved) by the Russians and he’s willing to trash the world’s greatest country to pay his personal debt back. That, and maybe some kompromat involved as well.
That the Republics are playing see, hear and speak no evil, makes them complicit. They are the Fire Department, they signed the pledge, yet as smoke pours out of the basement windows they are looking the other way or running. This is dereliction of duty and they are complicit, and it’s flat-out un-American and may fall under the definition of treason. Can it be possible that an entire party is comprised of traitors? Hundreds of traitors at once?
It does seem like the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy has gone global in a way nobody foresaw.
Manafort, Stone, Sessions, Trump, Trump Jr… gosh, don’t get me started.
I haven’t heard so many references to Russia since the Cuban Missle Crisis. Of course, back then President Kennedy wasn’t trying help Khrushchev take over the West.
I’ve been wondering since the FBI briefed Cummings et al., about just what they heard in that meeting that they emerged absolutely exasperated and apoplectic but bound to confidentiality rules. I worry that they were informed of intelligence suggesting a massive infiltration of Russian influence into the political power systems in the US and shudder to think of the possible scale of such an apparatus that could potentially be risking our national security. In my fevered little noggin I hold out hope for the best case scenario; that the IC community both at home and abroad is compiling intelligence and selectively leaking in order to soften up the opposition (trump voters and repubs in general) so that when the hammer finally does drop, the resistance and push back won’t be enough to stop the process of deposing the king. And i must admit that my tiny little nipples head to France when I allow myself to entertain that little pipe dream.
IIRC, in the news stories about the platform change that came out during the convention, there were reports about two Trump staffers who insisted on a change in the language. They supposedly were not delegates, and were on the phone to someone during the meeting when this part of the plank was voted on. It shouldn’t be hard to subpoena their phone records and find out who they were talking to. The other thing I remember is that there were no meeting minutes. There is no record of what was said and done, which seems a bit odd.
My impression here is this woman, Diana Denman, does not seem to get any of the bigger implications of J.D. Gordon finally validating her version of the story.
"Denman called Gordon’s intervention and initial denial of her account “very unfortunate.”
I find this sort of funny.
I wouldn’t be surprised that she finds herself suddenly “leaned on” to change her account of everything.
Farenthold is one of the worst of the worst Reps from TX.
Fahrenthold is the one gunning for the Pulitzer.
It’s the set of the eyes and the cheekbones.
Bunny pajama guy?
Ha ha thanks! Pajamas boy and the Wapo guy are certainly two very different people. David FaHrenthold is in the best tradition of the old investigative guys who work the phones, compile the lists, all that. They don’t look through keyholes, they look through records. All day every day for as long as it takes, and they get the goods on people. I remember Barlett and Steele back in the day. Not glamorous until the awards ceremony.
When someone says "I come from Texas; and I shoot straight; and I believe in a strong policy on defense and the military. I don’t play games with people.” it usually means they are weak of core and need to project toughness through a supposed mastery of weaponry, They are also making up for their deep ignorance and unfounded fear of the world by embracing a self-defeating and and complete over-dependence on weaponry. It also means they are from Texas…
I have been waiting for a time line from Marcy Wheeler.
I think it’s certainly possible that a lot of them are exactly that, wittingly or otherwise.
