Desperation has its own special aroma.

So the dreaded Over the Hill Gang has to rally behind the crazy guy. Sweet.

Sounds like Rince is still pining and hoping for a White Knight savior at the convention.

“All it will do is ensure a liberal Supreme Court for generations."

Democrats have held the White House for 4 of the last 6 Presidential terms. I fail to see what Reince fears, 16 out of 24 years and we still don't have a firmly progressive SCOTUS. He needs to relax.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski didn’t find it so stupid when talk show host and Teabagger Deluxe Joe Miller got the GOP nomination in 2010. Murkowski, who had been appointed to her Senate seat by her father, the then-governor of Alaska, was out in the cold.

But Alaska is so red and her name was so familiar that Senator Thanks Dad simply ran as an independent, beat the snot out of Milller as a write in with lotsa absentee votes, then declared herself a Republican again once the election was over. Miller was so furious, he nearly banged his head on the International Space Station.

McConnell: I think Priebus is worried needlessly. I will make sure that we never ever let a democrat SCOTUS nominee get a vote in Senate.

Considering the pre and post Priebus track record, I’m guessing the 3rd party is go, go, go?
Is it a shocker that long-held principles and pride in personal character stymie these guys?

Reince is slowly realizing he and Ryan are immaterial.

It’s worth noting these #NeverTrump-ers are dreaming of a third party because they consider Trump to be a RINO. They would like a third party that only allowed members that can pass a conservative purity test. I’ve seen similar ideas from the #BernieOrBust crowd.

Well, the last time they ignored the will of the voters, they got this guy:

Who promptly got eight total electoral votes. EIGHT.

That might have something to do with Priebus’ reaction.

These people, usually expressing thoughts with minimal, trackable speech, must believe one man can fix all ills, a pill exists that completely erases pain, that new restrooms can appear with the wave of a legal wand or that on line posters must present all facts from all sides very carefully so as to not rattle nerves, question previously, deeply held assumptions or prejudice the personhood of any single individual who could ever read the post…

Very familiar with the Tafts, I’m sad to say…

Even though Trump supporters are more ideologically flexible they seem immune to logical arguments.

If Preibus is publicly stating he’s against it, you can be sure the idea is gaining speed. He wouldn’t know stupid even if he looked into the mirror.

I think I heard on NPR this AM (I was half asleep) that it was too late in at least one large state to get on the November ballot as a third party.

Is there an existing conservative third party (Constitution Party?) already on all 50 ballots that could be co-opted?

My own follow-up. Some quick research says there is no third-party with 50 state ballot access to be co-opted.

That’ll show 'em, Rinse!
