Yes, but what has he told the biggest donors?

They’ve already formed The Committee to Draft Speaker Ryan. Their slogan is: “Better a Munster than a monster!”

Before I would believe Rinse, I’d wanna know what the real bookmakers are calling on the topic of a brokered GOP convention.

Then again, someone is already getting concerned over this possibility:

Why would one consider that much riot gear, if the prospect of this convention is that it’d go smoothly? Are we looking at this generation’s 1968 Chicago?? Anyone remember the outcome of that?

What are the odds that a year from now ole Priebus will be spending that quality time with family?

And, hopefully, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz along with him. Debbie can do a lot, but standing on the opposite side of Elizabeth Warren is not recommended.

She is a sponsor.

The winner-take-all states start pretty soon, I think. The GOP wanted the nominee to secure the nomination early – they just thought it would be someone owned by the Koch brothers and the corporate overlords, not America’s version of Silvio Berlusconi.

As I said elsewhere, the “NotTrump” movement had its back broken last night before it even got off the ground. The candidates are now willing to tell their supporters to vote for the other guy in his home state in order to deprive Trump of delegates, and every single one of them promised to support Trump as the nominee.

Rubio is down 20 some points in FL, with ugly underlying fundamentals; Kasich isn’t faring much better in Ohio. Cruz basically shot his load on TX and OK, and has nothing favorable to look forward to in the remaining contests.

If you were reading between the lines last night, even Fox is showing signs of getting on board with Trump. By 3/16 they will be fully on the Trump train, which means no favorable coverage for anybody else.

Preibus has read the writing on the wall…Trump is going to happen, and he is going to be dismissed as the RNC head immediately following the election. He is just going through the motions now.

Oh, Cleveland will be ugly even if Trump wins outright. The schisms in the party have been laid bear with rhetoric that can’t be easily pulled back in.

If Trump doesn’t win it outright…blood letting is almost assured. And probably not just metaphorically.

What makes reporters think we are as cranked up for a brokered convention as they are?

It’s not like it’s going to be the “Who shot J. R.?” of politics.

More of us are more anxious to see how Downton Abbey’s gonna end.

Will the family move to London?
What’s going to happen to Thomas?
Can Carson ever get that stick out of his ass?
And is Edith going to get fucked over…AGAIN!?

Brokered convention, no Trump, the GOP loses.

Trump wins nomination, the GOP loses.

Poor Reince, I had forgotten about him. Regardless of what happens or how it goes down, he knows he’s a goat whose head will roll.

Possibly Dick Cheney has agreed to be a keynote speaker. The rider for his security is in outer space.
When the RNC was at The Garden, Dick had a private entrance built over Eighth Avenue just for him.

I know it’s just a typo: *have been laid bear’
But those causing the schisms: ‘are loaded for bear’

I wanna see the outcome of thousands of:

TeaPartyingTrumpstersOpenCarryingWhiteSupremacistBirthers

–in one big ClevelandPD-marshalled-protester-holding-pen outside the convention venue.

T’would truly be a (R)oman Colosseum-writ-21st-century-large-spectacle.

Yeah, you know, 10-15% sounds about right to me.

But it’s worth saying, Priebus is, by a WIDE margin, the least possible honest broker on the question. Not only is he the administrative head of a party that is fighting a full-blown civil war, meaning he doesn’t even know whose water he’s supposed to be carrying right now, but he’s also personally accountable for the shit-show that will be the convention this year.

If you even want to give the matter any thought, the question isn’t “what odds is he giving” but “what absurdly complicated political calculus is he going through to make him think that saying ‘10-15%’ is the smart thing for him to do?”

The simpler thing is just to ignore everything Reince Priebus says from now on. (And retroactively to the start of his tenure.)

He’s lying. A brokered convention would not only give the election to HRC, it could destroy the GOP. No way.

Folie a deux on display.

Well I think that the chances of a "riots"and protests if Drumpf is the clear pick and nominee without any “brokered convention” is hovering around 95% regardless. In fact, the more Drumpf has the prospect of getting ingot he General election, the more chances for protests, and those protests getting out of hand.
