Discussion: RNC Chair Explains NBC Suspension: 'We Were Betrayed' (VIDEO)

If these clowns can’t handle CNBC, how is the eventual nominee going to handle the general election? They will be crushed. They can scream all they want, but no one wants a whiner for President.

But when does NBC show some spine and tell Priebus and the Klown Kar that they can expect zero time on any NBC broadcast next year to spout their fantasies? NBC’s tilt toward conservative guests on their Sunday morning broadcast has been notorious. Now is the time to inform them that their free ad time window is closing and that if they want 30 minutes with Chuck Todd they’re going to need to pay for it.

You know, coming onto two decades of whining and bitching and fearmongering about the “liberal media” I’m amazed they haven’t told all you fuckers to fuck the fuck off.

Godfuckingdamn whiners.

Rubio gives less than a fuck about the policy positions of his donors. So long as the money’s green he’ll sell himself to the highest bidder.

Putin must be laughing in his champagne watching these guys. He’ll eat these guys for breakfast, lunch and dinner and pick his teeth with their bones. If the Republican candidates can’t stand up to the like of John Harwood, they haven’t got a chance outside their conservative hot-house in the real world.

Translation: “We will provide a script for softball questions and you will follow that script to the letter, or we will cry foul.” There’s a term Southerners use for folks like Priebus, it’s “t*tty baby.”

“snarky and condescending” tone

Heavens, I understand poor Reince’s testicles have retracted so dramatically he has to keep clearing his throat…

We could really simplify the rules, like -

  • each candidate will have 11 minutes.
  • no moderator
  • the end

“Betrayed,” eh?

Hmm.

Where have we heard that “we were stabbed in the back” thing before?

Agree. Perhaps part of the problem is the evolution of media and the consequential dumbing down of the electorate. The earliest debates were conducted at a much slower pace, with objective journalists asking pointed questions and candidate ponderously explaining their platform in adult terms with big words.

Today, the networks assume people want to watch sparkly vistas with bombastic comic book heroes shouting slogans, hurling insults for laughs, reassuring them that everything will be great!!!

The audience is now expected to have the attention span and interest range of a six-year old.

If they are this upset by debate questions, how will they react to Putin spouting propaganda? Do they think they will be able to call him a liar and storm out of the room?

“And we need to look out for the candidates in these future debates.”
Because they are only children in adult bodies that need to be coddled.
Real POTUS material there.

The GOP dumped the League of Women Voters’ Orwellian overlordishness and opted for the free market managerial solution of the networks…but, it seems, the endless question, work weak candidates want to form a union shop, stay tuned.

NBC has the power to fight back. Refuse all campaign advertising and refuse to let Republican candidates to interview on NBC.

Bingo! Reality TV at its best. Well, worst really … but I hate reality TV, so there’s that.

“Oh, I get it, the RNC thinks it is purchasing a two hour infomercial. Why don’t they just give the “moderators” a set of pre-approved questions to ask?”

I think that’s EXACTLY what they want. And they’d do it without hesitation. And they’d even deny that the event was “scripted.”
