Discussion: RNC Chair Doesn't Believe Trump Will Run As Third-Party Candidate

Discussion for article #238766

Considering how wrong Rinsed Prepuce has been in the past, I’d say Trump’s run is now a definite.

Does he know who Trump is? Has he met the man or even watched him for some length of time?

I sometimes wonder if Trump is doing this as a way of destroying the Republican party and what it now stands for. And then I recall how his ego has led him in the past.

Honestly, I’d say even if it isn’t Rump, it’ll be either Cruz or Paul. All three are very delusional people who wouldn’t mind destroying their own party just to make a point. Hell, just the other day, Cruz basically called McConnell a liar on the Senate floor.

Who in the wide world of sports thinks Priebus has the foggiest idea what’s going on in Donald Trump’s head?

Poor little Rancid Prepuce is the single worst chairman in RNC history.

I applaud his failures—thousands of them, both large and small----as he presides over the continuing diminution of the Republican party.
His embrace of the Tea Party—by far his biggest mistake—has been a rank disaster from the moment he decided to hand over the party to the excesses of the TP idiots.
The GOP will never really recover, and that is good for America.

I can smell Rancid’s flop sweat from here.

fresh from his successful effort to ask Donnie Dipstick to dial down the rhetoric Rinse and Repeat, Chairman of the RNC, confidently declared that there will be no third party candidacy by Donnie Dipstick…

on another note Rinse and Repeat embarks on a mission to Piyush Jindal to convince that now IS the time to talk about gun control…

Does Priebus really think that Trump gives a rat’s ass about the Republican party? I realize there are few limits to human stupidity, but unless Priebus has spent the last 30 years in a bubble, he’d know that Trump only gives a damn about Trump. I wonder if when Priebus says that he doesn’t BELIEVE Trump will run as a third-party candidate, he’s really saying that he doesn’t WANT Trump running as a third-party candidate. Which makes more sense.

What’s that sound I hear? Just someone whistling past the graveyard.

Seriously - go to Politico to read how this ends. Nearly every conservative pundit is trying to exercise wishful thinking in how Donald is helping them but sure it’s not going to end poorly for the GOP.

Why would Trump launch a third party bid when he’s leading in the Republican primary? One of the problems with all these Trump-Perot comparisons is that Perot ran as a third party option from the beginning against an incumbent.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said on Friday that he doesn't believe Donald Trump will follow through on his threat to run as a third-party candidate in the presidential race.

As always, take out the vowels: RNC PR BS.

Whatever the probability was it is higher now.

I think the idea is that Trump fails to secure the Republican nomination, then makes a pouty face, stamps his foot, and runs as a third-party candidate.

Reince probably repeats this to himself over and over again hoping that “wishing will make it so.”
