The thing here is, you can see Hoft still believes in the story! He just doesn’t believe Wohl is necessarily the fitting messenger. He’s gonna look around for someone a little less stupid and that hurts my mind. It’s like the paradox of the irresistible force and the immovable object because he’s outstupiding Wohl even as Wohl outstupids him.
