Typical political photo op: the politician visits to speak, not listen. It didn’t matter to Scott what the seniors said, they were automatically wrong because he – and only he – knows best.

and the sad thing is if people in florida dont get out and vote in the elections this man will win again. when obama ran in florida on the tkt lots of young people , gays, lots of black people and women were at the poles,in other words obama voters. in 2010 when he wasnt actually on the tkt those peoples voting numbers dropped and scott wins and marco rubio wins. when dems vote we win it was proven in virginia.

Poor Scott. After building a thriving fortune based on the business of embezzling funds from taking care of the elderly, he’s sad that he might not be able to prevent the elderly (even the poor) from getting decent care.

From Rick Scott’s Wikipedia page:
“He resigned as Chief Executive of Columbia/HCA in 1997 amid a controversy over the company’s business and Medicare billing practices; the company ultimately admitted to fourteen felonies and agreed to pay the federal government over $600 million, which was the largest fraud settlement in US history”
He was CEO of the company found guilty in the biggest case of medicare fraud that’s ever been successfully prosecuted. This guy’s company stole billions from medicare and he stands there smiling benignly at these retirees in a pretense of caring about them. How is it that these old folks in Florida allowed him to be elected governor of their state?

The governor also doesn’t realize that seniors have children and grandchildren who are benefiting from the law. When your kid calls you and tells you they can FINALLY get the grandchild on their insurance, it is a relief to Grandma.

I sometimes get very frustrated with the IGMFY attitude of some seniors when it comes to health care, and this restored my faith at least a little that many seniors understand that the non-elderly deserve a safety net too.

Yes. Some people thinking about the good of the country and not just themselves. Bully for them!
Maybe the message is getting through that their kids and grandkids now have guaranteed access to health care.
