Discussion: Rick Scott: Obama Should Respond To Brussels Attacks By Coming To Florida

Does Mr. Scott plan on showing him how climate change is having an impact on Florida?

No, the President should respond to Governor Scott by sleeping in my guest room. That’s logic, that is.

Governor Luthor’s injection of himself into the Belgium terror attack is a welcome counterbalance to the sick loathing I’ve been feeling every time I see McCrory’s face on the trans-hatey minimum wage limiting law. Nothing like a reminder that things can always be worse.

I have only one two-word comment: LUNATIC FRINGE!

“Not only do I believe that President Obama should immediately return to America, I am inviting him today to come to Florida and address the concerns of American tourists considering travel to Europe.”

What better way to address international issues than…abruptly abandoning international efforts?

Surely, the President’s highest priority in any crisis is…to reassure Florida tourists.

And the toughest struggle facing average Americans is…whether or not to take that European vacation.

Dear Governor Scott, the last time President Obama visited Florida, he pointed out that much of your state was sinking below rising water levels. What have you done since then to address that problem?

No, Mr. Scott has a squad of assassins he’s just dying to test drive.

That’s not a problem, everyone will eventually just live that much closer to the beach!

Great news! All of that new beachfront property will trigger a new boom in real estate prices! Realtors everywhere say “Thank God for Governor Scott!”

So the President should help alleviate the fears of tourist looking to galavant abroad by the President running home from abroad in fear?

Odd argument.

I get it…I really do. These bed-wetting, crybaby Republicans need the reassurance that only a strong black man can provide. A tragic event that occurred 5000 miles away is enough to cause the manliest gun-toting hombre to cling to his security blanket.

Well, let me try to reassure them. If I know President Obama, he’s already done everything possible to ensure the safety of Americans. Which means he’s directed the appropriate agencies to work with the Belgians and Europeans to identify and bring to justice the perpetrators and, beyond that, taken all measures to prevent similar acts in the U.S.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean a guarantee of safety, as none is possible. Of course, if George Bush was still President, we’d we urged to get behind him at the risk of being called a traitor. But since it’s Obama, it’s okay to carp. If it’s not one thing, it would be another.

Gov. Scott, what’s your point? Why should Obama come to Florida specifically to respond to respond to the attacks in Brussels? or are you jealous that he’s such a damned good President and can dance way waaaaay better than you.

If we did not have Florida would not have had dumbfu*k Dubya.
If we would not have had Dubya , we would not have a destabilized World.
I will go to my grave believing that he and President Cheney are the cause of most of the World’s problems.

In other word, the state GOP has organized some potential protesters to yell at him and hold up misspelled signs if he comes to FL.

That messes with his perspective

So no.
