Discussion: Rick Santorum: 'Yes We Can' Put Bibles In Public Schools

Discussion for article #234336

I agree! And along with Bibles, we put in Qurans, atheist manifestos, information about the FSM, info about Buddhism, Satanism, Hinduism, and every other ‘ism’ out there. Either all if it goes in, or none of it does. Take your pick douchebag!

Did any of these people ever actually READ the Constitution?

Ok. Also Korans, Torahs, and whatever anyone wants to describe as their religious literature. I take that back. Government already funds religion enough through tax relief and religious tolerance.

There are Bibles in public school libraries. Students are free to bring into public schools a personal copy of the Bible. Public schools can legally utilize the Bible in comparative literature courses. Santorum is full of santorum.

You mean that dangerous socialist document that’s granting rights to all kinds of “undeserving” people? Now that’s the kind of document these guys wouldn’t want anywhere near their schools.

That said, I’d be surprised if the Holy Bible, and the other great religious texts weren’t in the libraries of most public schools. But that’s not what Rick is talking about, isn’t it???

What a maroon. He is so politically insignificant his only use is click bait.

And meals from The Flying Spaghetti Monster Cookbook.

Let me rephrase that for you … “did any of these people ever actually read?”

The Koch brothers and all the christianists will be trying to remove those bibles when they find out that the Bible has the following to say:

“Luke 14:13 But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind,”

“Mark 10:21 And Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “You lack one thing: go, sell all that you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.””

Shouldn’t he be in Iowa and/or SC right now?

We had some bibles in the library at our public school back in the '80s. They didn’t seem to get much use, but we did find found those thin rice paper end papers useful.
