Discussion: Rick Perry's Attorney Predicts Acquittal

Discussion for article #226501

Well, I certainly hope so. I mean, I would hate to think Governor Smart Glasses picked a guy to be his mouthpiece who went in front of the press and said: “Oh we’ve got no chance. The Governor is as guilty as sin. We’re totally fucked now.”

That’s standing instruction in a lot or most lawfirms; I have experience. You don’t even need to get the client to agree to the statement, you just maintain that in the end your client will not be found guilty or held liable on any of the charges or allegations.

Thankfully, Texas Republicans have installed harsh sentencing laws to deal with the criminal element in society.

OOPS!

“And if we don’t GET that acquittal, the governor is going to veto the shit out of a whole lot of stuff!.. wait, is this on the record?”

“I am not a crook” yea right Rick

“Rick Perry’s Attorney Predicts Acquittal” well of course he does, he probably realizes he would be out of a job if he announced that his client hasn’t a snowballs chance in hell of getting away with this.

Perry will probably get away with this, just like he gets away with murder by executing people who may be innocent and just like he gets away with reckless endangerment by cutting medicaid funding.

He is part of an elite political class that get away with dirty politics because big corporations, conservative religious right wing evangelicals and the 1% want it that way. His coffers are full to running over to keep the "T*** in the punchbowl floating on the top. Else wise they would not be able to keep those “lower classes” under their thumbs.

Phony Obama scandal = 0 indictments, 1 Boehner [ bṓnər ], lawsuit

Red State Governors = 2 and counting, indictments

I know GOP isn’t an acronym for ‘Abuse Of Power’…but I can’t help acknowledging it as such.

Rick Perry’s plan to win acquittal: Threaten to cut off the funding of any prosecutor’s office that takes on the case.

Perry’s attorney predicts acquittal? Duh… It would be news if his attorney predicted conviction.

Even if convicted, I don’t see him serving anything but some kind of plea-bargained “vacation” in one of those minimum security resorts.
