I was just comparing Rick Perry to a pile of crap I found running down a dog’s leg.
He looked remarkably similar.
The crap was less offensive than he was by a long shot, though. I would frantically scrape Rick Perry off my shoe, before dealing with the dogshit or even a swarm of eels attaching themselves to me. Anything to get that fucking moron away from me.
I disagree with ‘how well he does in Texas’
He’s a lame duck governor. That neither party here in Texas cares for anymore.
He plays publicly only to the most conservative of audiences-- that eat this stuff up.
He’s known as a double-dipper-- receiving TX state pension benefits while being paid a governor’s salary-- which tends to tick off his own party as well.
His only chance at continuing in government is to run for POTUS.
He couldn’t get elected at any level here again.

I chose to be an alcoholic, sure, but Texas politics has been forced upon me against my will… and even though I was drunk, that didn’t give Texas the right to do what it did.
I think he means that either it’s the case you may or may not feel compelled to follow the lifestyle or it’s not the case you may or may not feel compelled to follow the lifestyle. Clearly this is a man who likes to consider every logical possibility.

I think we all may be missing his (subtle) point. The problem with alcoholism is not drinking but overindulgence in alcohol. So what Perry is saying is to have gay sex only in moderation.

Yeah, he is at the end of his reign, but he made the most of it for a long time. He is the longest sitting Governor in Texas history, so he had a large portion of Texans on his side for most of three terms.
You would think after all that, that he wouldn’t have to pander to the crazy minority groups, but apparently, that is all that he has left.
I won’t even give him the benefit of doubt on being POTUS, he’s done like extra crispy fried chicken.

I’ve always wondered the same thing. The crazee’ GOP cons and baggerloons are MUCH MORE fixated on anal sex, actually any and all aspects of gay sex in general, than any of the gay people I know.
