The only option left to Manafort’s legal team is to impeach Gates’ credibility.

On the grounds that no jury could possibly trust someone corrupt enough to work for a crook like Manafort.

But at the same time, if the prosecution is worth its salt, they will have Gates right up there with Mother Teresa and will, later on, show much more evidence that Manafort is guilty.

As I said on another thread, all the prosecution has to do is show its evidence and not piss off the judge. Neither one of these steps should be all that hard.
