MN is also not going to comply. http://www.startribune.com/minnesota-election-chief-skeptical-of-trump-panel-s-voter-information-request/431672113/
Though I wouldnât be surprised if Brian Kempâs name comes up at some point, I donât think any state wants to catch a lawsuit from the usual suspects.
eta: Add CT, WI, VT in that group, also, too.
Say it with me: the 10th exists for a reasonâŠ
Why Texas, of course. Theyâll probably call Kobach and ask what additional information they want.
[edit] BTW: Washington SoS is still researching the legality of the request now a No.
Wow, red states, too. When Iâm wrong, Iâm wrong. States rights run bipartisan amok.
noipe.
that commission seemingly doesnât have any âteethâ.
So all in all Kobachâs little fishing expedition is going very well so far.
Evidently there really is a reason itâs called âfishingâ and not âcatching.â
Iâm sure someone has already mentioned this, but if not: it would be dee-lish irony is states that did comply with the Borg were Confederate ones.
ETA: Now this is a ÎÎÎΩΠÎÎÎÎ moment if there ever was one.
A reminder that weâre all literally paying for the existence of this âelection integrityâ commission.
Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.
Irony? Washery?
Same. Emailed him earlier today.
Its pretty clear that Kolbach, a Secretary of State, is asking other states to break their laws to give him private, personal information of their voters. This is a guy who has already been cited by the courts for voter suppression. How can any state justify giving such a charater any part of anyoneâs social security number?
Thank God my Secretary of State is a Democrat.
ââŠAgain, we donât know why they want this.â
I call BS. You know exactly why they want that information.
off topicâŠI hate anything Rupert Murdoch owns, but the NY Post got it right here. An editorial even Trump can understand
Just when you think that Kobach has hit bottom in his loathsomeness, he crawls out from under a rock and proves you wrong.
Kris Kobach and the VERY VERY Angry Inch.
