Discussion: Rhode Island GOPer: Syrian Refugees Should Live In 'Segregated' Camps

Discussion for article #243004

This lady is 17 kinds of stupid. Her follow-up, according to WPRI News:

“Any civil war is horrible but these people need to stay and fight for their country,” [Morgan] wrote in an email. “We as Americans fought our civil wars if we had fled what would have happened? We wouldn’t have the freedom and prosperity we enjoy today.”

YEAH, you infants, toddlers, girls, boys, women, the disabled and elderly – get in there and fight like American MEN!

(Hey Morgan: Just how many “civil wars” did America have?)

If anyone from RI has the credentials to know about refugees and their problems, it would be this honker!
Take a look at her list of accomplishments before becoming a state senator, anything stand out?

To all my American friends…'we" is a word. When you use it you’re claiming to be part of whomever “we” is. In this case Ms. Morgan is claiming to have taken part in America’s civil wars ( America actually only fought one ) and she did not participate in that blood bath. That’s all that lends itself to technical correction in her remarks. The rest of he words are inane stupidity and there is no fixing that.

It’s refreshing when republicans are honest about their feelings.

Way too often, they pretend that they are not racist, misogynist, xenophobic, wimps who hide behind their guns because they have really significant things to compensate for.

UGH - this mentality is always with us - Remember when we were all going to die from Ebola - and the country was placed in irreversible peril because Obama didn’t close the borders to all Africans ?
Remember when the world was figuring out HIV and nut jobs like this want to ban all men from Haiti?

Why stop there?
Lets make ALL MUSLIMS wear Yellow Felt Crescents on their clothing to make them easier to identify. Lets paint giant Crescents on their store windows so “Good Christians” won’t accidentally give money to them. Lets get the Oath Keepers to stand guard in their businesses doorways to turn away any customers. Then, one night, lets attack and burn down all the Mosques in America! The next day we can load all the Muslims onto boxcars and ship them to “re-education work camps” for “processing”.
When Fascism comes to America, it will come wrapped in the Flag and carrying a Cross.

Right-Wingers are such gutless cowards they are afraid of their own shadow.
Even when they are have guns and continue to rave about going over there to kill the enemy, they are actually hiding in their basements, too scared to show their mugs.

Anybody here grow up in a conservative household? Can you explain to me the conservative mindset and the irrational fear of “others.”

Like what kind of verbal and non-verbal cues do you learn as a child that leads to one being the kind of adult that equates anything different with being bad?

Segregation is a proven antidote to peace.

“The Muslim religion and philosophy is to murder, rape, and decapitate anyone who is a non Muslim.”

Except for the fact that the vast majority of people ISIS has killed have been Muslims

So Sen. Morgan, kindly STFU.

Just checked the schedule and it’s my turn to state for the record that this mammal is from the northern part of the country, not the southern, so we can spare ourselves the trouble of reflexively bashing the entire former Confederacy the next time one idiot who resides there says something idiotic.

OK, now, chore complete, holy moley some people can clean up the dumb but with this one it’s pure and unadulterated. Like the people in her district just cut out the middleman and voted for a Freeper comment thread to represent them in—uh, OK, don’t tell me—Providence, I guess. T the state capital. The spiritual home, you might add, of religious freedom and tolerance in this country. Man oh man, has this been a derpy week and it’s only Thursday morning still. Note to self: Buy more liquor.

“The Muslim religion and philosophy is to murder, rape, and decapitate anyone who is a non Muslim.”

The sad thing is this dry cleaner, like most conservatives, believes that is really the Muslim religion and philosophy. Obviously she lives under a rock with a whole lot of equally ignorant Christian friends.

She really is afraid. “We” are under attack here. Um, where? I haven’t seen the bombings, killings, drone attacks, kidnappings, etc. happening here.

“I do not want our governor bringing in any Syrian refugees. I think our
country is under attack. I think this is a major plan by these
countries to spread out their people to attack all non Muslim persons,”
she wrote in the email, according to Rhode Island television station WPRI. “The Muslim religion and philosophy is to murder, rape, and decapitate anyone who is a non Muslim.”
…
This woman needs an intervention and a strong dose of thorazine.

And then maybe…I don’t know…we could implement some kind of solution? Some kind of FINAL solution?

Aren’t these the same people who have been accusing Obama of being a Nazi since his inauguration?

Like Susan Sarandon says in Bull Durham: “The world was made for people who weren’t cursed with self-awareness.” That seems to describe the Republican party to a T, these days.

Annie I believe you live in Arizona as I do?
I just now looked outside. No sirens, no explosions or gunfire.

For the R.I. GOPer:
Muslim countries are not attacking us.
But there is a death cult in Syria/Iraq that wants to pervert Islam and kill.
Daesh (ISIS) is an apocalyptic death cult that thinks they can take on and defeat all the western powers. They are not a country or Muslim.
