Hmmm. This is either one of three things:

  1. The imam and his colleague were shot due to some internal communal struggle;

  2. He was assassinated due to religious, anti-Muslim sentiment.

  3. He was killed by a “lone wolf” jihadist who saw a Muslim imam like him lving relatively peacefully and wanted to use his dealth to institgate animosity between Muslims and noon-Muslims.
