Cheney usurped control without Dubya hardly noticing.
But Trump is just begging Pence to take over, while Trump struts around and does the bloviating.
He’s gonna get tired of this…

Let’s face it: He’s really not very intelligent. Clever, maybe, but not intelligent.
Remember when John Kasich said that Trump Jr. offered him the VP spot, telling him that he would be the most powerful veep in history and would be involved in the day to day decisions at the White House? Kasich asked what Trump would be doing and the answer was “making America great again”. Then the Trump camp flatly denied that any of that happened and said Trump would have a firm hand on the whatever to steer this country blah blah blah. Yeah… I definitely believe Kasich. I did anyway, but now I KNOW I was right to do so.
The scariest thing about Trump is that he delegates everything. I want a president who takes the time to inform himself and then makes decisions based on thoughtful consideration of that information and the feedback he gets from his advisors. I do not want a president who only knows what the people (with agendas!) around him tell him to do, and I certainly don’t want a president who leads from behind. Sigh. I hate that term, but there is really no other description for what’s about to happen. So disappointing!
Whitey won’t be in charge. He’s there to appease the Christian Wrong and keep Ryan and McConnell in line. It’s Trump’s son-in-law who will run the side show.
You’re not impressed with how he produces The Apprentice? He has reality TV down pat. So did Nero and Caligula. They had a show going at the Forum daily. Imagine what Caligula would have done with Tweets.
The only one who takes Kushner seriously is Trump. Unless he gets clearance for a cabinet post, everything he says will have to be filtered through Trump. He’ll execute Trump’s dirty deeds. But he has no authority to actually call shots. He’ll have no more power than the McConnell and Ryan grant him. Jared is tremendously naive and sheltered, and he knows it. He’ll soon be cowed.
He just really wants that Emmy that he thinks he deserves and he’s gonna use the presidency to demand it! It’s all about the winning.
Could have fooled me.
That is true, if you think that Trump actually cares about confirmation for any of these people. Trump thinks he knows better than anyone who can be trusted. He’s not going to let a small matter like lack of confirmation and security clearance stop him from talking to his children. They’ve made the biggest deals in the world together, after all. And they know how to stroke his ego just the way he likes it to be stroked.
“Intelligence Briefings” – perhaps the intelligence aspect is what’s lacking in he who would be briefed.
Costco is having a sale on Suspended Animation Chambers. Just in case anyone is interested. It might be a peaceful, relaxing place to spend the next few years.
Susan Lucci as head of the FTC?
How much?
Is he still running his newspaper?
Who is going to take his reporters seriously? (sadly, i know the answer to that question…)
“General, I–”
“Mister Vice-President, with all due respect, you’re not part of the chain of command unless the President is incapacitated.”
“General, the President is Donald J. Trump. He’s been incapacitated his entire adult life.”
“. . . you were saying, sir?”
I think I heard this story before. It started with My Pet Goat.
Either civil war or anarchy is coming.
Leonard Cohen: “Everybody” ?
or
Church Lady: "“Satan” ?
take your pick.
Besides is not like brown peoples around the world are going to stop killing each other from one week to another…
Since he is obviously an unrepentant unbeliever, we don’t have to worry about God talking to him. Just the voice in his head that tells him, “You, Donald J. Trump, are a gawd. All shall kneel before Trump.”
