Discussion: Reuters: Trump Receiving Intelligence Briefings Just Once A Week

Hey, cut him some slack! Negotiating that Apprentice producer job musta taken up a chunk of time and this victory tour is a lotta work!

How can intelligence briefings be more important than tweettacking individuals who call him out on his bullshit?

Priorities, people, priorities.

Doesn’t really make any difference. He doesn’t have any idea what they are talking about. We may as well have a mannequin there. He’s an uneducated, bigoted buffoon, and he will always be that way. We may be seeing the end of our Democracy as we know it.

A mannequin can do no damage. This idiot certainly can, and will.

So how long before something bad happens (after 1/20/17) and people, Trump supporters included, complain and the intelligence folks will try to say “Hey we tried to tell the President, but he wasn’t interested.”

Further abdication of power to the VP.

The man is actively in the process of making himself nothing but a figurehead. I just have to think that, boy, is he gonna be pissed when he finally realizes that he doesn’t have any power and everyone is flocking to Pence’s door, not his.

As soon as I am done tweeting insults. Now, go get me a cheeseburger KellyReince,

is it because he needs a week to try to understand and digest?

snakes often need time to digest what they’ve eaten…

Well, it brings up a question/problem to me.

Take the scenario where we do have something going down, and everyone is gathered in the Situation Room. Pence doesn’t have the constitutional authority to make the calls/decisions, he isn’t in the chain of command unless the President is incapacitated. That creates a constitutional crisis in the middle of an actual crisis.

Who would have figured that Pence would be a more powerful VP than Cheney??

The Trumpeteers will blame Obama, just as the W loyalists blamed Clinton for 9/11. And the media will comply.

I guess we know who the President’s really gonna be. (HINT: Not Don.)

Trump is not an intelligent person. He possesses a knack for self promotion and has a feel for some aspects of making money and investing, much of which depends on self promotion. Drop him into a room of a dozen moderate to highly educated people that read a lot and cultivate interests and knowledge in a broad range of subjects and I’ll posit Trump ranks last among them in smarts. Daddy paid for his degree and greased the skids for passing grades. Does anyone actually think Trump sat still the time it took to either pay attention in class or study afterwards to pass exams? Please. He has about 10 adjectives he uses in daily speech, 5 for good things and 5 for bad.
Trump doesn’t attend intelligence briefings because he’s incapable of deeply comprehending what’s provided him. That and he doesn’t want to pile up repeated instances of ADHD behavior that the briefers finally leak, revealing a near total inability to sit still for more than ten minutes at a stretch before getting lost in Twitterland or chasing a laser pointer on the wall.

It’s all those big words, you see. Above 4th grade level. Plus, more than 140 characters at a time. Too much to take in. No cool pictures. No answers about when he can push that big red button and cause all the fireworks.

So: avoid at all costs.

Because who wants to be reminded daily that he’s an ignorant, shallow windbag…?

If we’re all alive to de-brief after the catastrophe…

The shyster get his intelligence briefing from Russia… Like the shyster said, “I love my poorly educated.” And that cover everyone who voted for him. NO (check it out): http://www.politicususa.com/2016/12/08/trump-supporters-alternate-reality.html

No, he won’t be pissed because he doesn’t care about the job. As long as he gets his picture taken enough and has a good strut around the White House twice a day, he’ll be happy tweeting and ordering lunch.

I do worry about an actual national security crisis, because he might just like that role enough to fuck things up. I’d like to skip to he part where Pence is the actual president. He won’t blow up the world unless god tells him to.

Plus he’s already the smartest person he knows, way smarter than any politician, general, cop, spy or career civil servant. So he’s literally unable to take on any more intellect or intelligence, unless it’s an update reinforcing something he already knows.

We know this already! He said this at every chance at every single one of his campaign events and in as many call in shows as he could fit it in, and he tweets about a lot.

Leave him alone: he already knows. Everything. About anything. For example, he knows there was voting fraud in the election. How does he know? He just knows! He’s that frickin’ smart.

He’s so smart, his own staff, his spokesmen, his spokes ladies all the time have admitted they don’t know what he thinks or how or what he knows. He’s the smartest, most interesting, most popular person in the history of forever, and as a celebrity we should just all take off our clothes and let him grab us wherever.

Just often enough so he can confirm he still knows more than they do.

But his son-in-law receives them hourly. Remember how George W. Bush’ advisors didn’t take warnings about Al Quaeda seriously? This idiot Con Man doesn’t even remember Pearl Harbor. His advisors like Newt Gingrich call the Japanese “brilliant” and Trump thinks they need a nuclear bomb. He’s surrounded himself with a group of senile former generals who think they are The Third Reich and will show the world how great he is.
