Here on the border with Mexico (Southern District of California) we shackle prisoners in what’s called a “three-piece suit” which consists of ankle shackles, handcuffs, and a chain around the waist which connects to the handcuffs. A person doesn’t have to do anything to merit this – they say it’s for safety.

Seems clear to me. Should be clear to trump and his lackey Sessions as well. But then Sessions chooses to ignore what he well enough knows from his years in the Senate and we know trump has never read any of the Constitution beyond the 2nd amendment.
Seems to me this amendment applies to anyone, legal or not who is physically inside the US of A. It does not say “citizens only shall have this protection”. And I expect those families could sue to get their kids back.

I was thinking I would hear some loud outrage over this from the “kids need a mom and a dad,” as opposed to two moms or dads, crowd? Still waiting on them.
Jesus cried. Evangelicals don’t. That’s how I explained to my children what a real Christian is and why you must never vote for a conservative Republican. It’s what my mother taught me and her parents before her. Living through the Depression and WW II, it wasn’t really necessary. Today it is.
Who would ever have thought that we would see the day in this country when children would be taken from their parents and wharehoused in interment camps without windows so no one can see what’s going on inside. Why are Democratic Senators being denied entrance to find out?
