Discussion: Return To Bachmann-ia: Here's What Michele Bachmann Has Been Up To

I spoke with God and implored him to keep encouraging Michele to run.

Hard to tell if he was actually listening or even cared.

Whatever it is she’s been up to, I guarantee you it makes this much sense…

I think, that is Marcus ?

In other words, same old Michele. This shtick may work in the wing-nutty MN-06, which makes Alabama and Mississippi look erudite and urbane in comparison, and she’ll definitely win some votes up north where Guns, Meth and Jesus are the rule, but it won’t fly with a majority of the state’s voters.

(And no, Michele Bachmann has been with us for a long, long time, and has nothing to do with Bernie Sanders, as one commenter ignorantly implied…)

Michele has been very busy while Marcus has been at home singing show tunes while wearing a flamboyant smoking jacket.

A few years ago I had a hard time remembering how to spell her name so I came up with a way to remember it. Since she’s apparently trying to return from the dustbin of irrelevancy, I’ll share it here:

“Michele Bachmann. That’s with one ell, two ens, and three crazies.”

“I believe without a shadow of a doubt, this is the last election. This is it.”

What the hell has happened to the republican party. I’d vote for Richard Nixon before I voted for Bachmann, I suspect a good half of the republican party clearly understands this woman is a fruitcake gone bad. How is she still a thing?

". . . help bring in as many as we can — even among the Jews . . . " Now what can that possibly mean?

Nope.

MN-06 was redrawn in the redistricting after the 2010 Census and she decided not to run for Congress again because she lost a lot of Minnesota-Redneck voters when it happened. Her old seat was taken over by a former fire-brand colleague in the MN House, Tom Emmer who turned out to be much more moderate than old Church-Lady once he took office.

While Minnesota only voted for Hillary by a thin 1.2 % margin in 2016, I don’t think Church-Lady would stand much of a chance in a State-Wide Senate race. She would be toast, so BRING IT ON.
Amy Klobuchar has nothing to worry about in 2016, but Tina Smith is a relative unknown and is vulnerable.
I still think the MN Republican party will nominate former R Congressman John Klein for the race (and he would have a better than even chance) with former Gov. (and current head of the Banking Lobby in Washington) Tim Pawlenty lurking in the wings.

Duh!

To the Dominionist Evangelicals (like Bachmann) the only purpose the Jews serve is as fodder for Armageddon.
Israel is ONLY supported to make sure that the town of Megiddo is under their control as that is location of the “Final Battle” in Armageddon.
The remaining Jews MUST convert to Christianity prior to that event or they will be doomed to fight and die (and thus be damned for all eternity) in the battles of Armageddon when all of the devout Christians are “Raptured” up into Heaven (evidently to cheer for the Jesus-side like it’s a football game.)

Lunatics like Bachmann firmly believe this shit and are more than willing to actually KILL PEOPLE to prove it. They are the same nuts that voted for the disgraced pedophile Roy Moore (also a Dominionist Evangelical) and for the same reasons. THEY are the only ones with this secret knowledge and therefore are blessed and will survive Armageddon.
The rest of use can all go to hell (literally.)
BTW - VP Mike Pence is also a “believer” but I think it’s mostly an act to fool the rubes into voting for him.

Nope. They redrew the district to put her permanent residence outside of the 6th. She’s from Stillwater, one of the wealthiest suburbs of the eastern Twin Cities metro area (hardly a hotbed of hillbilly sensibility). Stillwater was incorporated into MN-04, represented by Democrat Betty McCollum, with the bulk of the district’s population residing in solid-blue St. Paul proper. Also Michele Bachmann served until January 2015, despite the fact that in the 2012 election she no longer lived in MN-06. She barely won reelection (by just over 4000 votes, and probably due to charges of carpetbagging), and decided not to run again in 2014 when her 2012 opponent, multimillionaire Jim Graves, announced that he would challenge her once again. After Bachmann dropped out Graves promptly dropped out (claiming “Mission Accomplished”) and Emmer subsequently won the 2014 election against a some-dude with 56% of the vote and then reelection in 2016 election against another some-dude with 65.6% of the vote, so there is still plenty of redneck in MN-06…

“This is bad boy talk, and of course that’s what [Hillary Clinton] wants everybody to talk about,” Bachmann told MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, joining a chorus of committed Trump defenders dismissing the tape as “opposition research,” despite the Washington Post having published it.

Of course “Bad Boy Talk” is one of the required seminars in the Michelle Bachmann Conversion Therapy Program.

@ Matt Shuham, good on you for writing this piece, but by god! I have no idea how anyone could bring themselves to organize and repeat the crazy that is the world of Michelle Bachmann. I could barely bring myself to read that piece to the end! It was that painful!

Every time I read one of her statements it feels like my IQ has quadrupled.

I’m sure Bachtard gets her inspiration from this index every single goddamned day.

The Rapture Index

Truly some crazy-ass shit. The perfect diet for someone as hopelessly lost in the world of humans as MB.

I heard that criminal charges arising from her Iowa campaign were dropped on the condition that she drop out of politics and never come back. It’s how it is done, people said. Avoid the mess of a trial and record and you just leave political life. She knows how to draw attention, but I really don’t think she’ wants that much of a spotlight.

It’s been mostly quiet with her gone and I hold on to the rumors that floated around of her having an affair with the speaker of the house, Banner. “You’re kidding,” I said. How would you know? “I work with a lot of her family,” I was told. “and they tell me things. They aren’t all that fond of her either.” Such a record.

at the same time we’re learning about these biblical events, and it’s literally day by day by day, we’re seeing the fulfillment of scripture right in front of our eyes, even while we’re on the ground.

If only Bachmann would be whisked away in the Rapture, the world would once again become a paradise. Funny how their own sacred book admits the world can’t be improved as long as they’re around.
