And the lesson of Cliven Bundy is that the government is everywhere and will live longer than you, so if you commit a crime they can be very, very patient and finally arrest you, unexpectedly, years later, and a thousand miles from home. So don’t give them a reason.
Note that I said they lost their support beyond the fringe (which is the Bircher types). Nothing is going to convince them that their ideas are wrong, and it’s not worth the effort to try. All we can do is contain the damage until they go extinct, and the way things were done is a much better way to contain the crazy.
I honestly hope they get even more outlandish after whichever Democrat wins (verbally, not violently), that will just undercut their support even more.

There were roughly a thousand armed men from god knows how many states at the Bundy ranch. They had snipers everywhere set to fire upon BLM workers who were herding those cattle or at the corral. The “militants” were moving freely with women and children. The FBI had little choice, particularly since the local law enforcement seemed to be in Bundy’s pocket. Well, he who laughs last laughs best, and my bet is there are still more sealed indictments waiting for those scofflaws who were at the Bundy ranch. I heard a video today made by one of those feckless “sniper” types on the arrest of Cliven Bundy. “How can it be fair to arrest someone TWO YEARS LATER for a crime they committed …supposedly committed…”

I;ve read a LOT of their crazy material and watched a lot of videos these last weeks. You’re right. They are incapable of rational thought.
