Resentment⌠me thinks partially ---- HATE âŚpossibly more apropos â
I find it amusing that this author, like those feigning outrage of Trumpâs âblood from whereverâ comment, their minds went to menstration. Speak more to where their minds are rather than Trumpâs. And I say that as someone who thinks Trump is a retrograde bombastic narccisist and asshole supreme.
Sit an average chimpanzee at a keyboard and try to interpret what he types. That is what the pundits are doing whenever Trump speaks. It would perhaps be utterly embarrassing to the pundits to admit that Trump never says anything that means something, so they are wasting their time. They need to study Trumpâs utterances because that is what they do for a living.
Yep, all the fiction that Fox has been peddling since Obama, has come home to roost.
The idiots believe the script(obama is a muslim, non citizen, going to kill us with Ebola, ACA is a disaster, death panels , blah blah blah). Haters love to hate.
Trump didnât jump the shark in last weekâs debates. He started dry-humping it instead
then you live under a rock.
Oh screw you for trying to tie this Trump bullshit to Gamergate, Taplin. Gamergate originally had a legitimate starting basis and you know it (though it got ruined by heaps of misogynistic morons). This Trump/Megyn bullshit is all nonsense, top to bottom.
Not at all. But thanks for playing.
The Donald arrives at the next Republican debate.
Enjoy him you GOP Con & Bagger boys and girls! I know I am.
The Republican Party played by John Hurt:
âŚand Veronica Cartwright as Carly FiorinaâŚ
(And no remarks now about the ⌠ahem⌠âblood coming outââŚuhhhâŚwherever.)
The Donaldâs loyal sheepleâ Rage-aholoics and his Campaign Scream Machine are not going away. Heâs all yours Repukes. You built that!
Resentment as a source of his popularity makes sense. I wonder, however, how much the dislike by the power brokers fuels it as well. Itâs kind of like when a teenagerâs parents donât want him or her to hang around with certain peopleâsuddenly these people become enormously attractive. Is there the âliberals hate him so we love himâ feel to it, and another that says âif the party powerful donât like him, he must be great?â
I donât know if people would go so far as to vote for/elect a person based on their perception that the powers that be hate him, but it feels like part of the attraction.
I think the writer has a point:
It is not love for Trump, we see, but a GOP base frustrated and angry with the âStandard Issue Focus Group Tested, God Fearing Koch Funded Media Trained GOP Presidential Candidateâ they are forced to choose between by the GOP leadership. This is a protest movement. I think they have seen through the Tea-Party astro-turf fraud (which explains why Cruz is lagging, also because his creepiness factor is too big.).
They want an authentic person, not some âcoached with all the right answersâ zombie.
(Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul had some of the same authenticity, they might be crackpots, but they were authentic crackpots). They might not like all what Trump thinks and says, but at least he is authentic, and they are enjoying seing a ârealâ person - instead of some stuffed shirt - giving the finger to the GOP Leadership.
I donât feign outrage over it, but I have no doubt he was saying that Kelly was having her period. He wasnât, as he tried to claim later, saying she was bleeding from her noseâŚhe knows he can freely use the word ânoseâ if he wanted to (and it makes absolutely no sense in the context he was using wherever, to use ânoseâ).
You have to go through some pretty serious cognitive dissonance to think he wasnât talking about her menstruating. As far as dog whistles go, that one was a blaring foghorn. âShe was bitchy cause she was on the rag. We have all dealt with that before, immiright??â
Jonathan Taplin @ TPM:
But the real reason Trumpâs popularity might not decline is that he is playing to the politics of resentment that we have seen before.
America: Land of the Spiteful.
The GOP has become a party based on Manufactured Resent - with Fox News as the dominant Resent purveyor.
(Edited to fix broken link.)
You may as well try to psychoanalyze why monkeys fling pooâwhy it happens is far less important than just staying out of the way. Same with Trump. Just avoid him and anything to do with him, or you wind up covered in poo.
Update: " The Donald will apologize right after Erick Erickson apologizes for dissing Trump and renames his organization the more appropriate Red Shitstain."

The writer is deluding himself if he thinks the âTrump Showâ is on the bubble. I suspect Trump is going to hold firm, perhaps even pick up a point or two in the polling averages this week.
Because, whatever it is, resentment, hate, very large portions of the GOP are DYING to start honing their anti-women shticks in preparation for Hillary. So they are absolutely loving this, and it merely reinforces what they like about Trump in the first placeâŚhe is willing to say what they all want to say.
Thatâs going to be a real problem for the GOP moving forward. Because Trump is signalling the green light to go full misogynistâŚand he is being rewarded for doing so. They will start pouring out of the woodwork to imitate his performance.
The Trump Show will end when Trump wants it to. And right now he is having way too much fun, receiving way too much of what he craves, and steadily driving up the price he will ultimately extract from the RNC to have him leave.
I actually wonder if he doesnât have dreams of creating the Trump Party (because it HAS to have his name) and completely destroy the GOP, relegating THEM to 3rd party status. Fanciful, yes, but perfectly in keeping with his behavior.
Iâm still waiting for a journalist to ask a follow up question to the âtheyâre taking our jobsâ meme. That question would be âand who is hiring them?â
Exactly! Did that general contractor make any effort to confirm whether those drywall guys were citizens or did he just take the lowest bidder? You canât complain that white workers canât get jobs in your industry when all you care about is the bottom line.
docd,
Absolutely itâs knee-jerk anti-liberalism to the max.
