Goopers, please proceed.

The headline should read…

“Gerrymandered districts force republicans to do stupid things as to not get primaried.”

President Trump is not the only one who can’t STFU.

As has been said before, the GOP is now truly the party of Trump.

An interesting breakdown in analysis from Tuesday night seems to be emerging.

Democratic leaning folks are all pretty much saying "Harbinger for what is coming in 2018. No question about it’

A lot of republican leaning folks are saying “Just one election, could be a one off, we have to wait and see, so lets stay the course and not get all squishy over nothing”

Those republican leaning folks taking up that analysis are now treating tax cuts as the Holy Grail that will solve all their problems forever (which isn’t a surprise, the GOP has long said tax cuts are the solution to every problem).

Yet at the same time, the wheels are already coming off of their tax proposal(s). And the clock keeps on ticking…

Everything the Republicans do now is an open, obvious attempt to thwart the will of the people and do what their paymasters demand. It’s plutocracy. And the plutocrats would prefer to see people literally die rather than have to give back a little of what they’ve reaped from the unfair advantages they created for themselves. You know me, I’m no firebagger. But I think that’s the game we’re in now.

“If we don’t pass legislation that hurts more people, how can we expect them to vote for us?”

Thanks to Republicans, everyone in the country now knows it’s easier to fix the Affordable Care Act and make sure everyone has access to protection, than it is to break the system and try to convince people everything’s swell.

And on the sixth day, God made man and put him in hell. “Hey, it’s cheaper than creating a universe.” And God decided it was good, despite man’s complaints about the heat.

It is commonly known that mid terms for a newly elected president are not generally positive under the best of circumstances…when an asshole is in the WH behaving like a blithering buffoon, the results could be cataclysmic for the sociopathic GOP…they will do anything for the oligarchs pulling their strings…hopefully it catches up to them next Nov.

I fear that Trump and Company will continue to try and provoke an attack on the US so that they can try and use it to their electoral advantage. Much the way the 2002 midterms we’re not the bloodbath they should have been given that Bush was not the popular vote winner and so on. But they had 911 going for them

Just As Trump has decided to play only to his knuckle dragging, mouth breathing base because they’re the only ones who are still with him, the GOP Congress will play only two their base, corporate interest.

“Democrats, meanwhile, say the GOP’s health care agenda is guaranteeing its own electoral doom in 2018.”

If, and only if, the Democrats give people a reason beyond just hating the Republicans to vote for them. Come on Dems, you can do it.

It’s not their voter base though. It’s their donors. You could at least argue that the deplorables are Trump’s base, so he supports them. But the GOP as a whole can no longer make false pretenses that they represent the interests of their constituents (which, by gerrymandering, they now choose for themselves rather than the proper other way around).

Asked about Maine’s resounding endorsement of Medicaid expansion, Diaz Balart insisted that voters aren’t concerned with health care policy specifics.

“They don’t care whether it’s Medicaid expansion or whatever. That’s Washington talk,” he said. “When I go home people don’t tell me specifics about a bill, they tell me to solve problems. People want a health care system that works for them, and if Republicans don’t have answers, they’re going to seek other answers.”

First of all he talks to his constituents? When, where, and by what means?
Second the limited amount of contact I can monitor with my Congresswoman is her constituents are giving her bill numbers, and pieces of said bill that they disagree with. It’s her over generalization of how “good” the tax cuts will be, it’s the old Obamacare horror stories that were debunked, and she’s out pushing her #1 pet project to end sex slave trade-worthy cause but this is all she is promoting.

Mr. Meadows (and, sir, your ability to remain a living being astounds me since, 99.999% of the time, you seem too stupid to even know how to breathe), I believe the polite political term for your continuing actions is, “Keep fucking that chicken”.

And they have to do it quickly, because their margins in the House will last only a few months next year, after which the Congress shuts down so they can campaign.

I’m betting Sen. Schumer and Rep. Pelosi have another thing or 2 up their sleeves in that regard.
