Discussion: Republican's NRA Grade Plummets From 'A' To 'F'

Discussion for article #228711

Pretty sure that’s going to work in his favor.

Greenburg should wear that “F” as a badge of honor, and exploit the fact that he has the huevos to think outside of the NRA’s pine box.

To be fair the NRA only has two grades, A and F.

But Barry actually had a clue what liberty entailed and it wasn’t the NRA

“Pretty sure that’s going to work in his favor.”

Maybe, but I doubt it. It might help him a little with independents, and moderate Republicans (of which there are still a few in Connecticut) but he still needs to combine that with a good turnout from the gun-lovin’ base to win – and I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of those folks were willing to withhold their votes in order to punish the heretic, even if doing so allows Etsy to win. I also wouldn’t be surprised if some “independent” group that supports Etsy sends out mailers to Republicans highlighting Greenberg’s “F” rating from the NRA.

Background checks are just a start; many military style weapons must be banned to civilians, and so called “open carry” and “stand your ground” laws have to be revisited and repealed. This guy will probably get away with his sin in Connecticut, as well he should. He should be proud of this “F” on his report card.

TPM: “As a matter of fact I was as shocked as anybody that I got the A rating from the NRA since I didn’t seek it. I didn’t even fill out their questionnaire,” Greenberg reportedly said. “I’ll be downgraded to an ‘F’ after tonight," he added.

Wow, there’s an endangered species: A Republican with enough common sense to know that an A rating from the NRA probably hurts more than helps in Connecticut.

If you’re a Republican politician and you’ve received an “F” rating from the NRA, is your life even worth living?

“The district Greenberg is hoping to represent includes Newtown, Conn., the site of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre.”

Gee, I don’t know for certain, but I’m guessing that mayoral candidates in Hiroshima all oppose the proliferation of nuclear weapons regardless of party affiliation.

No background checks for possessing or carrying weapons, but background checks for voting - do I have that right?
Goal: restrict both to whiter wealthier people and move the USA to an armed apartheid state.

I don’t care, I still hope he loses in spite of his one half-sensible idea. Go get him, tiger.

Background checks? You’re dead to me now.

Respect for you sir for standing up for common sense and repudiating the nut jobs at the Nazi Reincarnated Association. Trust me. No loss.

He should look on the bright side. He’ll still have his soul.

I see Professor Peppy Le Pew has decided to eliminate the need for a grading curve in class today. I believe he leads a class on Gun Fanaticism 101. So now we know its strictly a pass/fail system…with nothing in between.

It really is better to have the backing of the American People. Good on ya, Greenberg!

Just more evidence that the NRA is an organization run by fanatics for fanatics, much like al Qaeda or ISIL.

Pretty rough grading curve eh? Miss one question and get an instant F.
I’ll bet Mark Greenberg is also against extended clips, assault rifles and allowing crazies to posses guns. The NRA has prejudged him and hit with their presumed rating before he got the chance to say it publicly. The NRA didn’t use a gun against Greenberg, this time, yet, but they got all the gun freaks riled up, which is all they do really.
I hope Greenberg is pro-life vest.

Much like the North Korean regime, the NRA tolerates no dissent. No straying from the party line is allowed.
