61% yea, 27% nay.
Funny how that 27% number constantly bubbles to the surface.
@teenlaqueefa Funny how that 27% number constantly bubbles to the surface.
Yeah. That happens in my septic tank too.
Actually, it became Trumpcare a long time ago.
Right. āObamacareā no longer exists after what Trump and the Republicans have already done to break it apart. I really think the media, including TPM, should stop referring to the current health care insurance system as āObamacare.ā That was a term invented by Republicans to help demonize the Affordable Care Act. Now, they use the term to try to blame Democrats for premium increases and insurers leaving markets as a result of steps they themselves have taken.
Itās not your imagination, they really are who you thought they were all along. A bunch of clueless bumbling idiots propped up by racism, racist billionaires and hypocrite christians.
It just occurred to me, that I havenāt heard any mention of whether the Republican tax āreformā proposals are eliminating the deduction for medical expenses.
(Which insurance premiums are considered to be.)
Hard to believe: Some consumers find free health insurance
Excerpt:
The president stopped reimbursing insurers for reduced copays and deductibles, available to people with modest incomes purchasing a āsilverā ACA plan. Sure enough, that has boosted premiums for silver plans. But government subsidies also shot up, because theyāre pegged to the cost of silver plans.
The bigger available subsidies mean that cheaper ābronzeā plans can increasingly be had for no monthly premium, after consumers subtract their subsidy from the list price.
Itās like pushing down on one end of a see-saw, and the other end goes up.
In some cases, āgoldā plans offering enhanced protection against the costs of illness are also available for free to people whose incomes qualify them for financial assistance.
Dillon Vatick said he couldnāt believe it as he shopped online recently for next yearās health plan. Vatick is a computer science student who lives in Jacksonville, Florida. He qualified for a monthly subsidy of about $280 and he found a bronze plan with a premium of less than $270.
āMy health care is technically free,ā said Vatick.
This compounded by the fact they really donāt give a fuck about anyone but the donor class.
They donāt give a fuck
Witness the ultimatums recently issued .
Give us tax cut or weāre cutting off your funds.
Anyone under the mistaken impression that this is a democracy aināt paying attention
That āgoing forwardā is misleading because there were similar results last month indicting the the majority of people believe the Republicans are responsible for the destruction of the ACA.
Itās not that they will be blamed for the ACA failing IF they include the the individual mandate repeal in the Tax Bill. People have already starting blaming the Republicans and (hopefully) Trump for the ACA failing for months, probably from this summer when everything heated up with all the Senate Votes/Bills
While Republicans in Congress and the White House have done many things to destroy the Affordable Care Act (ACA), repealing the individual mandate will be the straw that means it officially becomes Trumpcare. The individual mandate is a significant, important pillar of the ACA, making the average healthcare insurance premium more affordable. Without it, the āAffordableā comes out of the ACA, resulting in Trumpcare.
Time to EAT what you COOK.
I guess Iād respectfully request that Democrats start promoting the positive, affirmative steps theyāre going to take to fix Rumpcare. That should be the first thing people read about Democrats. Elaborating on why a turd like Roy Moore makes the rest of the septic tank go, ādamn,ā should be secondary.
While Iām not in favor of repealing the individual mandate, Iām not convinced that it will have much of a negative effect. As long as the subsidies remain in place, people can buy insurance for little or no out of pocket costs. There may be some fools who would rather go without than have health insurance that costs $50/month or even $0, but the large majority even of healthy young people realize that having health insurance is a good thing and if they can get it for minimal out-of pocket costs will be happy to have it,
By the way this means that the āsavingsā the Senate GOP claims to realize by repealing the mandate are largely phony, like their entire plan and therefore that it fails the criteria for reconciliation.
āRarely is the question asked: Is our Republicanāts learning?ā - George W. Bush
Actually, that question is asked all the timeā¦
I for one did not buy insurance through the market place this year. My insurance company bailed on the exchange, the company that I was assigned raised my monthly premium from $614 to $1017, and so my friend who is an insurance broker cobbled together 3 different plans so I can have catastrophic coverage. I donāt qualify for a subside. When the PPACA started I had a gold plan for $440, that $614 plan Iām on now that is ending is a bronze plan.
And yes the Republicans are shooting themselves in the foot and costing the government more $$$.
Iām glad you found something.
Iām sorry the rat bastards forced you to find something.
I hope we are smart enough to elect a Congress capable making some progress in 2018.
SNL did a sketch recently about Democrats! Weāre back! You love us again! Deadpanned with such obvious, sarcastic lack of enthusiasm as to have me damn near blowing raspberry at the tv.
I guess Iād summarize what I want from Democrats, is to take away the element of truth that makes that sketch funny. I think one way to do that is with a positive agenda, which is persistently not driving the narrative for whatever reason.
As Maya Angelou saidāwhen people show you who they are, believe them the first time.
I kid you not:
Another way to evaluate the tank is if more than 25 percent of the liquid depth of the tank is being used to store sludge and scum, that tank needs to be cleaned.
