the president was considering traveling to Montana to campaign against Tester.
Congratulations on your reelection, Senator.
On Tuesday, White House Legislative Affairs Director Marc Short phoned in to a Montana radio program and said the president was considering traveling to Montana to campaign against Tester.
Translated: Trump’s ranting and raving, making the ominous threat: “Don’t Make Me Come There… and Hold a Rally!!”
I am sure that the Senator is quaking, as the last several Presidential “campaign rallies” for House and Senate races have been so… er… effective Not.
Instead of getting an administrator who “looks the part.”
Veterans deserve better than a Trump boy-toy.
When your perfectly justified response is that you’ll continue to do your job so veterans get the leadership to provide the services they deserve, this is the kind of wrongfooting you’d wish for and want more of. So keep all that in the news, geniuses. I’m sure all the people you do this to feel like Lambs to the slaughter and will beg you, please, no Moore.
Even after yesterday’s news that Pence’s doctor had warned about Jackson last fall they think this is a fruitful line of attack? Please proceed Republicans.
Not only will Trump travel to Montana to campaign against Tester, but he’ll bring Rick Saccone and Roy Moore with him. Like Trump, they have nothing to do at the moment.
If I wasn’t so jaded, I’d feel some pity for the poor publicans (intentional misspelling). Sadly I don’t. This is the best they can do? Sad.
Maybe the congress would have a better understanding of the plight of veterans if they were required to use the very same services that the veterans use. Like make them use the VA services in their own state for their needs… like the veterans do. And, put them in line for appointmets and services like the veterans… so that when the veterans ahead of them in line receive service, then and only then, will it be their turn.
Walk a mile in their shoes.

I doubt Tester has much to fear from a known subversive and criminal coming to campaign against him.
Who*s going to jump ship first ?
But, when he goes to Montana he will refuse to wear the obligatory Cowboy Hat (because it will mess up his hair.)
Without that you CANNOT be a “REAL 'Murican” in Montana (population; 1,042,520. 44th out of 50 in size.)
Montana has 2 Senators (like every other state) yet is so small in population it only has 1 Representative in the House.
California has 2 Senators, and 53 Representatives in the House.
The Fuhrerprinzip is alive and well in the GOP.
Yes, that is the way it was designed.
There are three sources of power in the US Constitution: The federal government, the states, and the people. As the Constitution was written, the federal legislature consisted of two houses.
The Senate was the states’ house. Under the Constitution, the states are sovereign, and if they are sovereign, they are equally so. States are sovereign by their existence as states. Their sovereignty is not based on their area, population, or economic power. Therefore each state has equal representation in the Senate. Remember, that until 1912 Senators were chosen by the state legislatures. That is, they were directly answerable to the state legislature that chose them. The 17th Amendment provided for the election of Senators by the people of the state.
The House of Representatives was the people’s house. Its members were elected by the people according to districts where each district had approximately the same population. Under the original Constitution the members of the House were the only members of the federal government directly elected by the people. They are the people’s representatives in the same way that the Senators are the states’ representatives.
That’s the way it was set up to work and that is the way it is supposed to work. It is designed to keep the states part of the federal union because their sovereignty is respected.
“This is just politics,” she said. “Jon is relentless in holding government accountable and he will continue to fight for veterans to make sure they have the services they need and have earned.”
And this is how you spin it.
Put out an ad saying how much you care about vets and then show how Jackson was not up for the job. Then show how Jackson was accused of being the Candy Man and would knock on female’s doors. Play it cool, don’t even bother mentioning trump, just show how concerned you were over Jackson heading the VA. Even get a couple vets that express the same in the ad. I think that would be very effective.
BINGO.
