“But while some Republicans see impeachment as a good idea, others have tried to suffocate that idea before it gets any bigger. Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-SC), recently said that Democrats would love for Republicans to try and impeach Obama but said that’s because it would be a trap for the GOP.”

Whoa! There’s actually a Republican that can think more than one step ahead? RINO Spotted!

The GOP is walking a fine line here. How do you pander to the idiot, wing-nuts in your party with this impeachment stupidity while not pissing off the Dems so much they get motivated to go the polls, or worse even alienate the more moderate, sensible Republican voter

Makes my day but could the TPM crowd handle all the drama, that’s the real question.

OMG though, it would be fun to watch.

You guys misspelled “Imbecile Caucus”.

Yes, let’s impeach Obama for not busting secessionists, conspiratorial Congressional liars, and Republican Putin lovers.

The Administration’s talk of impeachment is just a distraction from the Administration’s long list of impeachable offenses.

Hell, I know I am distracted! Thanks Obama!

They are not going to stop with impeachment.

I fully expect the Republicans to shut the government down and issue an ultimatum to Obama and Biden that they have to resign.

I also expect the Republicans to default on the debt to force Obama out.

They will impeach Obama after the election. That’s a done deal.

Today’s completely unhinged Impeach Now screed is published over at Barbwire. Read the long, rambling, vague ODS-fueled proclamation before you take the shower you’ll need at the end. I am incapable of comprehending just what these folks think.

If the Republicans SOMEHOW take over the Senate in 2014 (only possible if the apathetic Democrats don’t show up to vote, a DISTINCT possibility) I ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE there will be an Impeachment. Hell, if they have time there will be TWO. Obama, then Biden, and when the dust from the burning Constitution settles, we will have: President John Boehner. Oh. Your. God.
It would be the biggest carney-barker side-show imaginable during the run up to the 2016 Presidential Election and both the craven MSM and the Tea-Party Fueled Republican Party would not be able to turn down that kind of free mass-media exposure.
It would also be the END of Constitutional Government but HEY, that is only for wimps anyway according to the Koch Bros. (who would gleefully fund the entire thing.)

Except for the part where, even if the Republicans take the Senate, they can’t remove Obama without 67 votes to remove.

If the GOP take the Senate in 2014 expect ALL the DINO’s to cover their asses by voting for Impeachment. They have no loyalty to anything but their own re-election (and the amount of money that the GOP Billionaires would be spreading around in Congress and the Senate to make this happen will be astonishing.)

So much for a moratorium on impeachment posts at TPM until the House votes for articles of impeachment!
