Don’t give up, guys! Destabilize that market! You can always blame Obama, Hillary and 3 to 4 million illegal immigrants for causing it to collapse.
With great power, comes great destructive ability. Use it!
Two months into the new administration …
WTF? Are we now using alternative calendars where a month and a day counts as two months?
I know it seems like longer but … really. Using that metric this would be the “sixth year into disAdministration.”
The House of Representatives could settle the case by voting to appropriate the money for the subsidies themselves, but this is highly uncertain in the current political climate.
The only money they currently see fit to appropriate is for security for Comrade Chaos, his soon-to-be ex-wife, his spawn and his properties around the world. The GOP: Special Victims Unit has priorities, you know.
They aren’t as stupid as they often appear. They know the subsidies were an important part of the effectiveness of the ACA, but they can’t admit that publicly. So, the stall tactic is all they’ve got right now.
The Republicans have no plan for replacing the ACA
The Republicans have no plan for replacing Obamacare
The Republicans have no plan for replacing the ACA
The Republicans have no plan for replacing Obamacare
The Republicans have no plan for replacing the ACA
The Republicans have no plan for replacing Obamacare
The Republicans have no plan for replacing the ACA
The Republicans have no plan for replacing Obamacare
You can’t come up with a plan because the ACA is the conservative approach to health care.
I have a solution for you dolts:
1, let the rubes that voted for you know Obamacare = ACA
2, Fix the damage you’ve done to the ACA
3, Fix what is wrong with the ACA , ask that nice Nancy Pelosi if you need help
4, Profit
See how simple
I had to read that headline several times.
I was sure it was meant to be read as: “Republicans Buy Time … In Case [i.e. in the event that] That [i.e. buying time] Could Destabilize Obamacare.”
Given their hope that more insurers will pull out of the exchanges and do the destabilizing for them, I’m still thinking that might be what’s happening here.
In the end, one of two things will happen:
- The nutcases will prevail, and the ACA will be repealed lock, stock and barrel. Chaos will ensue, but the Tea Party types will be tickled pink.
- Cooler heads will prevail, and the Republicans will fix the problems with the ACA that they themselves caused, rename it, and go on the talk shows to discuss how their new plan is so much better than the old one.
I’m not overly optimistic that #2 will win out.
They should employ the awesome Nancy Reagan plan that worked so well in ending drug use (Just Say No):
Just Don’t Get Sick
Problem solved. Next.
Obamacare : socialist takeover of health care industry! Tyranny! Boo!
ACA : hey, there’s some pretty good things in there. Why didn’t anyone tell us about that?
Now is the time to propose a single-payer health plan, Democrats. It is A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY. Start talking about it in every town hall…
Now that they can’t blame everything on President Obama, they actually have to try to be a little bit responsible - though it kills them to do so.
Still, their hypocrisy is breathtaking. I’d almost applaud their audacity if so many people’s lives weren’t at stake.
The one thing protecting us from a fascist dictatorship is the incompetence of the fascists…
there’s a larger issue here that doesnt get near the attention it deserves by the media. this lawsuit stems from the fact that republicans continually get away with torpedoing the ACA then complaining how its failing. they do the same with public education and reporters arent connecting enough of the dots in their coverage.
Or
3. They will dismantle it, chaos will ensue, the midterms will change the House and then it will all be blamed on Democrats.
4. Rinse and repeat.
ah, acting with the courage of their convictions
inspirations to us all
The Party of No can’t even get it together to say yes to itself!
Remember how the Republican were shouting it from the rooftops they will repeal Obamacare on day one of the Trump administration? Apparently, they don’t.
Make the middle class pay for the health care of the uninsured. Make the middle class pay more to cover the higher rates for government workers getting taxpayer-funded health insurance. Make the middle class pay higher premiums and deductibles for their own insurance.
Oh, and don’t forget to add taxes onto employee health care benefits.
Republicans don’t intend to destabilize the industry. They intend to crash the entire economy.
Health Care? We don’t need no stinkin’ Health Care.
Let’s just all show up at the bigly yuge Mar-A-Lago retirement home just opened by Cheeto Donnie to the non-Mooslim public…
