Discussion: Republican Senators Slam Trump Admin For Killing DACA Compromise

“Slam??!!”

“Tore into??!!”

Please. This barely rises to the level of “whine.”

You want to tear into him, you vote with the Dems to get his tax returns. And start running real investigations. And protecting Mueller. And protecting the FBI. And …

Can we finally call it buyer’s remorse involving slamming and tearing into but without exactly abandoning him?

Expecting leadership out of Trump is foolish. He is a total mess.

Presidential leadership under Trump? These pig wastes are blaming Trump? They deserve each other.

Why don’t Republicans and all Americans just face the fact that our racist, white-supremacist president does not want dreamers, let alone any immigrants, in this country whether they are legal or not. He’s made his position clear.

And he’s a big, fat liar.

The administration’s objection was apparently to a line deprioritizing for enforcement anyone who was in country by this coming June 30th, 2018. When I realized that was the root of the objection, I was much less surprised by what happened. That would seem like a poison pill for a lot of GOP Senators. I also wondered if there might not be reason to believe this bill will come back amended. They only need 6 votes. Change the deprioritization date to June 1st, 2015, and it probably gets enough votes

Flake and Collins: “We’re shocked – shocked – to find GOP chicanery going on in here!”

Croupier: "The keys to your new K Street offices, senators.”

Flake and Collins: “Oh, thank you very much.”

Has anyone pointed out to President Miller that if the House and Senate vote on deporting all undocumented migrants then the House and Senate could flip in 11 months? Then what would the orange cry baby do on Jan. 1st 2019?

Put a racist in the WH and you get racist policies.

Imagine that.

Thoughts, prayers AND do something about Prez-inflicted DACA chaos? They’re senators, not acrobats. They can’t walk and chew gum at the same time.

Good thing the Democrats gave up all that silly leverage they had with the continuing resolutions.

“There’s probably 75 votes here for border security plus a pathway to citizenship for the DACA recipients, but you need presidential leadership. Without it, we won’t get there.”

There’s good ole’ Lindsey, falling back on the Imperial Presidency. “We just don’t meet the 100 Senator threshold, so can’t figure out what we’ll do if the President issues a veto! Won’t someone come save us?!”

All I can say about Lindsey is that he is apparently one of the most gullible humans ever.

Actually go to the feverish swamps of Wingnuttia and they were pretty scared that Trump was going to double cross them and give Amnesty to the dreamers, they are sighting with relief right now.
