If losing the Koch money doesn’t make them abandon Trump - then nothing will.

In the private meeting, some lawmakers also expressed confusion over the Koch network’s new approach.

Idiots.

Poor dudes. Last fall we heard Ryan and McCarthy project that Big Donor$ had said if they (Congress) didn’t deliver tax cuts, or they (the Donor$) were going to close their check books.
(eta - didn’t mean to hit return yet)

It must be so confusing. Which to fear more Trump voters, or Non Trumpian Big Donor$?

The poor Kocksuckers are confused?

Their only confusion is how to suck up to tRump and his stupids and their biggest donors at the same time. That’s OK, Mitch, tRump is a (b)illionare too, and is sure to contribute enough to make up for the Kocks.

Hey Mitch, i’ll give you a little insider hint. If you choose Demented Donnie over the Koch brothers, you’ll lose. Everything. Your choice.

At the end of the day, it’s the Kochs (& Mercers et al.) who are bankrolling the GOP congress. Not Rump or his minions. (In fact, I think Rump could give two sh*ts about who gets re-elected.) The Rethugs do not have the luxury of going along with Rump on this. Not. one. bit.

and told attendees that it would support candidates based on values and not political affiliation.

Is this a feeler for a Republican Party schism? A new 3rd Party dedicated to promoting the values interests of the Koch’s? A new Grand Oligararch Party?

Whoever’s running Dotard’s handle this morning accidentally blurted out a half-truth: “I made them richer.” Speaker Ryan had more to do with it imo, but of course R’s will always agree on taking ever more for their 0.1% donor base. Witness the latest sham move to shovel $100B to the idle rich in the form of indexed capital gains.

It’s as though we’re living in a never ending episode of Real Housewives of ______

I remember when the institution of the Presidency meant something. It had dignity, grace and honor… Last time I recall that is wayyyy back when Barack Obama was POTUS. Remember then? Oh what good times.

OK, let me guess what the solution to this puzzle is.

I know, I know - the ultra-rich need ANOTHER massive tax cut. That will fix this little problem immediately.

For McConnell to complain ‘the guys want to change the direction of the country…’. Words fail.

I’m not holding my breath. Most of them’ll wait until after the election to determine if it hurt them or not – until they’ll ride the fence until their butt cracks are up to their collarbones.

Rock and a hard place. It’s a civil war, with the elements of a once-functioning system in conflict. This could have been predicted by pretty much anyone, but the GOP said to each other we can control him, he can’t really be like that, he must have something on the ball, he’ll pivot. Aaaaaaaand here we are. : )
