According to the article, he’s already voting against the GOP, so there’s that.
Actually it isn’t one. There have been a bunch of switches in the last couple of years. In Texas a bunch of judges switched which told me they expected a heavy Democratic vote in 2018.
And there were a number of lawmakers who switched in the last couple of year. I wish someone had a full count.
He’s from northeastern Iowa (Anamosa) which is a blue part of the state; Abby Finkenhauer represents the district in the US Congress. Steve King represents northwestern Iowa.
