I normally get 50 kopeks for each post that I make here… I wonder if these guys pay more?
Sure, it’s political propaganda disguised as news, but, hey, IOKIYAR. Besides, the Russians have been doing it for decades.
Cranking up the propaganda machines full tilt.
No wonder they have no time to create detailed healthcare policy or balanced budget initiatives. All their time is going toward yellow press activities.
GOP = “got our priorities”, and the citizens of the US (with the exception of the filthy rich adn their ownselves) are not one of them.
Did the RGA consult with columnists Armstrong Williams, Maggie Gallagher, or Michael McMannus? Why used public funds when Facebook is so cheap?
Now even “news outlets” are cross dressers? Perverted journalism = corrupted journalism.
I’m sure none of this is coming directly or indirectly from state funds, or from other sources that are prohibited from engaging in coordinated campaign expenditures.
Conservatives have long since known that the Fourth Estate is their enemy. They constantly chip away at what little they do not own.
They also work diligently to get rid of education and voting. Some times they pretend to be Democratic and other times Republican, but nothing else changes.
It’s for the echo chamber effect. The more sites that carry their “news”, the more legitimate it seems, especially when the sources have legitimate-sounding names like The Free Telegraph versus something like AllDemsMustDie(dot)blogspot(dot)com…
They really are relentless. The Democrats’ relative earnestness and seriousness works against them in this eco-system. But if the Dems start playing the same game–doesn’t the whole thing (Democracy, representative government) just fall apart? That’s the conundrum.
More fake news.
Big Brother in action.
The lying mofos really DON’T care about the divisiveness and hatred they sow do they?
And again, we go to the Signs of Fascism checklist:
- Controlled Mass Media - Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.
Vice President Mike Pence, when he was Indiana governor, pitched the idea of a news agency run by state government, but he ditched the idea in 2015 after criticism.
The fact that he thought state-run news was a good idea is a huge, huge, huge (if not unexpected) red flag. Sums up the current Republican ideology pretty well, though – control, submission.
Stupid fucking Dems left in the messaging dust yet again. Infuriating. “Oh, but it’s not honorable or honest mewly mewly mewly!!!” Fuck you. Fuck you. FUCK YOU. If you don’t get that we’re at war, then get the fuck out of the way, because the GOP is waging one whether you like it or not.
Yesterday when the Senate easily passed another $700 Billion for defense, I thought “I sure hope a whole lot of that is earmarked for fighting the current internet war we are in with Russia and China.”
But I bet more of it goes to tanks and bayonets than e-War tools.
How are these associations funded? Is public money used to send the governors to their partisan governors’ association meetings? Maybe these associations no longer serve any legitimate purpose, if they are now simply off-shoots of the RNC.
Rule of thumb from now on: Every time you see a tweet from @freetelegraph, reply with “Fake News from the GOP Govs Assoc.”
GOP… The masters of FAKE NEWS…
