Discussion: Reports: Warren Finance Director Resigned After High-Dollar Fundraiser Debate

That she’s making every candidate articulate their positions is a good thing.
[/quote]Yes, this. Warren’s most important contribution to the campaign season may be this effect that she is having on the Dem field. She’s setting the tone, pushing the goalposts. Whether it wins her the nomination is another thing, but her contribution is invaluable.

If people want change -real change - to break the viselike grip the oligarchs have on our government, they should take a long long look at Senator Warren. She will actually do what Trump promised to do, but lied through his teeth about.

Trump’s strongest asset is that stench of lies and deceit that precedes him each time he enters a room.

I have…twice!

Yep. I keep hearing people say “I could never vote for that candidate” on the basis of a single, fairly anodyne remark taken out of context.

It’s like the GOPers will accept any arranged marriage and the Democrats are all “He seemed perfect til he said he didn’t like Hallmark Christmas movies.”

Good for Liz. Her ideas are part of her package…social scientists have been talking about stratification for years.

Liz Warren is placing this more at the center of her conversation geared for working people. For years lay-people discussions on stratification rarely left the classroom or the occasional author charismatic enough (or connected enough) to grace a news or talk program on TV.

Ike’s tax policies would have gotten him hung today.

Never forget it is Warren that conservatives fear the most. That’s why they are trying so hard to discredit her. The MSM is no better because the owners (Comcast/NBC Universal anyone?) dont like her policies because heaven forbid they have to be less of a billionaire.

Buying?

It was purchased and paid for decades ago. They have receipts.

Senator Warren gets enormous credit for taking down, not one, but two Wells Fargo CEOs, a company built on unconscionable business practices. She doesn’t get anywhere near the respect and credit she deserves from average Americans whose best interests she’s looking out for.

The fact that racism is indispensable for this takes a couple of connect-the-dots for most folks to realize.

And that makes all the difference, because too many people are not on to it.

“You cannot sit back and wait for a savior,” Obama stated. “You can’t opt out because you don’t feel sufficiently inspired by this or that particular candidate. This is not a rock concert. This is not Coachella. We don’t need a messiah. All we need are decent, honest, hard-working people who are accountable and who have America’s best interests at heart”.

We need more of the purity analysis like this.

ETA: Still, her voice…

@emiliano4: I have it on good authority that Ike was hung. But his policies might have gotten him hanged. :grinning:

Another donation will go out in my mail tomorrow.

(I wonder if the Finance Director is paid in part based on how much is raised?)

I am sorry, but didn’t the finance director know that Sen Warren was not going after the high dollar contributors? Does she want to make her out a liar? Hell, we already have one of those!

…this guy. Me, too.

I think so, yes.

Wouldn’t make any sense for them not to have skin in that game.

Same for campaign media people who get commissions based on their buys.

You know that … I know that …
but there are still many of the flunkers and triple chiners that need all the help they can get —

It’s nice to see some more targeted studies …
every little bit helps —

Especially combined with recent tax time failed expectation —

Let em see more of where the money went …
Anything short of a trickle down into their pay … is a win for us —

The Times reported that Warren made that decision “only after a robust debate inside her campaign that led to the resignation of her finance director,

That’s a peculiar use of “only.” It makes it sound as though the decision could have been taken sometime earlier, before there was a “robust debate” about it. It also misdirects the reader’s focus, implying that Warren’s ultimate decision was shaped by the resignation, not the other way around.

Could be sloppiness. Could be intentional.

Sadly, it’ll all be back to abortion and that we’re going to take away their guns…
