The ominous noises out of the State Department late last February suggested something was up. By April, it was explicit that personnel and budgets were being slashed and wait times on normal functions had quadrupled or simply moved to infinity. It was apparent then that Rex had to go, but only now are the cries for his removal more widespread.

I’d like to add this: Stupidity is not an emotion, but hatred is. Hatred of Hillary (women), hatred of Obama (blacks), immigrants, liberals, etc. etc. This hatred and division over so many years was the strongest motivator. Not everyone who voted for trump is stupid, but everyone has the opportunity to be emotionally manipulated regardless of intelligence level. And of course there’s always greed too.
