Whatâs really sad is that I canât think of a single prominent Democratic elected official whoâs as publicly savage in their criticisms of Trump and the GOP as Rubin is. They could learn a thing or two about rhetoric from her.

In this case no. Iran and Russia are attached at the hip, and the Russians ran serious interference during the negotiations.
Lavrov has repeatedly said the deal should stand, and that Russia backs it. But Russia somehow seemed to know this was coming. Yesterday, Putin came out with this:

Well, too bad then that McCain and Corker played along with the Adelson-Netanyahu propaganda that this deal, joined by a group of countries, was a bad deal for America because the Likud Party and Sheldon Adelson really really really want the US to conduct a nuclear strike on Iran for them. If they are admitting that this was the best deal available, then isnt it unfortunate that they spent the whole time it was being negotiated trying to sabotage it. And continued to propagate that fiction during the Presidential Campaign. And invited a foreign leader to address a joint session of congress to crap on and humiliate President Obama.

Unfortunately, the world does not recognize innocent bystanders. Their view would be that whether you voted for tRump, Hillary, third party or not at all, those who lost did not work hard enough to prevent this narcissist imbecile from becoming president.
