They’ve had the ducuments for months and the timing is just too exquisite. I think this is part of Mueller’s plan. He is tightening the screws on a paranoid, treasonous loser and a bunch of his totally corrupt, largely clueless, cronies.
They really must have Trump in a phoneless padded room at this point. But don’t worry, he will escape. Then he’ll grab his phone and shoot his dick off. Again.
How often do you get the target of your investigation continuously feeding you incriminating evidence? In real time?? Trump’s twitter – the gift that keeps on giving. Mueller must shutter every time someone calls for Twitter to shut it down!

I’m reading the no-connection-to-mirror-trades thing a little differently. The mirror trades operation was a very specific set of crimes for which DB got hammered with fines and quite possibly faces ongoing civil, criminal and ricin-umbrella liability. So they didn’t want Mueller looking into that (again). But if Trump isn’t connected to that and was instead laundering money on his own with DB as an “unknowing” conduit, giving up his records doesn’t pose (nearly as much) risk to DB. So they’re happy to let Mueller rummage around.

The German bank that has lent President Trump hundreds of millions of dollars over the years was subpoenaed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, Reuters and Bloomberg reported. Deutsche Bank received a subpoena “several weeks ago” for financial records related to Trump and his family, unnamed sources told the outlets.

Now documentation of actual crimes! That’s what gets me going in the morning!

After 9/11, DB and other foreign banks were hit with additional reporting requirements for all US customers who could not supply them with a non-US address to send statements. They purged a bunch of accounts then to avoid reporting, but obviously not trump’s.

My main twist to your argument is that I don’t think Trump makes it to 2020. Given his horrible health and habits, compounded with the stress, I just think that a pulmonary embolism or an aneurysm is inevitably in his near future. At that point, the 25th Amendment would kick in without requiring Congress and the Cabinet to step in and all bets are off. At that point, I don’t know what is likely to happen.

There was some talk of violence and VERY young teenage girls on these tapes, but you’re right. There is nothing like good old fashioned money laundering to get you in legal hot water. WAY more direct.

Many elements of this mess are way out of hand - towers of fraud and stupidity have grown - and when crap like that happens - and rats get cornered - they do desperate things - so have to wonder - with all the shady characters and organizations entangled in all of this - have to wonder …when so hitmen start getting calls? when do cars drive off roads and into lakes -oops! when do airplanes fall out of the sky … when do simple cups of tea turn lethal?

That’s a good point and I agree it’s a distinct possibility. Overweight, out of shape and sedentary, eats a crappy diet, is a rageaholic, and is under severe stress. So yeah, he does seem like a prime candidate for a heart attack, stroke or something along those lines.

Well, in that case Pence becomes President (or if Pence has been impeached or resigned or died or whatever in the meantime, then whoever replaces Pence as Vice President becomes President).
