Discussion: Reports: Trump Asked FBI Official Who He Voted For In 2016 Election

I think it should be a “May 2017” meeting in the first sentence.

Clueless doesn’t begin to address it.

What are the chances Trump didn’t vent about all this stuff to everybody within earshot? Mueller’s going to have so many witnesses you’ll get sick of witnesses.

And think about it, this incident happened immediately after the runup to the Comey firing, during which most of his staff was telling him not to do it and presumably explaining why. Then in the aftermath there was an explosion of disgust and outrage throughout the media and official Washington because of the obvious political and criminal nature of the thing. All that is the background and what does he do? The same thing. His illness makes him incapable of realizing there are boundaries or learning from past violations. That’s why the famous pivot never happened.

Seems Mueller is building two sets of cases.

1st, a bunch of money laundering charges on various folks in Trump orbit and second a strong Obstruction case against the president.

I would guess he will lead with his obstruction findings and see what Congress will do, keeping the money laundering as a state charge in his back pocket to ensure that Trump doesn’t further obstruction justice by firing Rosenstein and Mueller.

Stop right there!
I gotta know right now!
Before we go any further!
Do you love me?
Will you love me forever?
Do you need me?
Will you never leave me?
Will you make me so happy for the rest of my life?
Will you take me away and will you make me your wife?
Do you love me!?
Will you love me forever?
Do you need me!?

Will you make me happy for the rest of my life!?
Will you take me away and will you make me your wife!?
I gotta know right now
Before we go any further

Will you love me forever!?

Trump follows the path of all dictators by demanding personal loyalty to himself.

Mueller: “I know witnesses. I have the best witnesses.”

And that’s part of why he went ahead and did it.

From the Trump tweet:

How can FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, the man in charge… be given $700,000 for wife’s campaign

Once again, there’s a subtext here about gender: that if a woman runs for office, it’s really just as a stand in for her husband, the guy who calls the shots, who’s really in charge.

re: McCabe

I’m going to go listen to The Sundays…scheiss

Did not vote? Did NOT VOTE? WTF’s wrong with this guy? He’s got as much right to say what the future of this country is, especially on a secret ballot.

Screw the Bernie Bros, the Jill Steins, the Susan Sarandons. It’s assholes like this that got Spany elected.

Did not vote. FUCK HIM!

Loyalty test by another name.

Donald J. Trump: Consistently unethical, inappropriate, stupid, immoral, and/or illegal.

n he really needs to let all of that go.

I think that the McCabe issue is still being investigated by DOJ’S IG, but hey, ‘trump’s gotta be trump’.

That of course was a big issue in 2016…

from the article

The topics Trump discussed in that meeting with McCabe were atypically political, given that the FBI is not supposed to be a political agency and that the bureau’s director is supposed to act independently from the president.
