A retired parent out on the lake near Fair Play, she has a tiny bit of land and still farms it at near 90. We used to swim to GA side when bored. Brother used to volunteer for Fair Play FD. Went to high school in Pendleton, so going through Townville was the “back way” up.

This happened near where I live. One of the children has been released and the other is in surgery. The teacher was shot in the shoulder, and it sounds like she will be okay. The teenage suspect killed his father before going to the school playground where the shooting took place.
Sadly, this is another school shooting that will change nothing. This area is pro gun and very conservative. They, like so many others in this country, can’t seem to grasp the connection guns and gun violence.
Or between kids with issues that don’t get help or even know how to ask for it.

One more thing. A volunteer firefighter took the 14 year old shooter down and was able to get the gun from him.
The teacher has now been released from the hospital.

Found this rather extensive detail on the shooter, family. I do NOT know if this is accurate info, but looks very legit to me. Verify, then trust !
Anyone know if this is a legit news source, or (worse) disinformation ?
