That was exactly my first thought. He may have even meant to make it happen.
So right now thereâs basically zero believable evidence that Tillerson was fired for anything but supporting England over Russiaâs attacks on residents. Putin is systematically murdering people associated with that dossier, and Trump is systematically failing to indicate itâs a problem. One blessing deep within it all you have to count, though: It still doesnât seem normal. It really, really doesnât.
I donât think heâd get very far with a lawsuit because the prez probably is well within his rights to fire any executive branch employee he likes, the same way that Bush the Lesser fired all the US attorneys. Even if it got to the discovery stage, what would we learn that we donât already know?
