Gunfire. As American as baseball and Apple pie
ETA. Or maybe it should be. Guns. The toys of summer
50+ shots fired, and Sen. Cotton says we need “prayers.” How about regulating rifles with the capability of firing 50+ shots?
The answer, of course, will be more guns.
I read that the gunman is captured. Wonder what his profile and reasons are.
We’re going to need more guns.
Anyway, it’s tragic that anyone has to experience first-hand the terror of gun violence.
You beat me to it.
Session’s testimony was so piss poor they had to go full Reichstag fire? Either that or the Russians tying up some loose ends.
I feel bad for the Scalise family. I have zero pity for Scalise, whose political stance is precisely that Americans should accept these sorts of shooting incidents so that gun manufacturers can continue to fund the careers of Republican politicians.
I won’t lie, I’m really, extremely conflicted. The people who’ve been screaming that we need to arm everyone to the teeth, that there should be no gun control at all, finally got to experience the terror they’ve so happily turned a blind eye to and that they’ve helped create. Yeah, I’m conflicted.
Thoughts & prayers.
I’m seeing he’s dead. Mo Brooks is saying on CNN he was a middle-aged white guy. Hid behind a dugout and ambushed the people on the field, and the security detail there eventually returned fire with pistols and killed him. The Second Amendment was unhurt according to early reports.
ETA shooter in custody.
CBS reporting the gunman wounded and in custody.
Orange hair?
Grow up.
The fact that the Majority Whip was wounded plays no role in your emotional and moral calculus, right?
There you go. That’s where I’m conflicted. These people have families and I feel bad for them that they have to experience this horror. But the families are where my feeling bad ends.
What’s his NRA rating, again?
On behalf of the NRA, I’d like to offer Our Official Thoughts And Prayers to the gun and the 2nd Amendment in this time of crisis.
No but Brooks said he was “chubby” so we’ll see.
